A Great Day in South LA is an amazing tour that introduces people to the greatness South LA has to offer and its rich history. Janae does a wonderful job of exploring areas and topics that are not often talked about on tours like these. She has created a tour that has a historical perspective. Her research skills are on 1000! I can't recommend the tour enough. Looking forward to visiting the LA area again to see how the tour and the community has evolved. I had a great day in South LA. Our tour guide was personable and warm from the moment we met her. She is knowledgeable and her desire to tell the story of Black South LA is apparent. I did a similar tour years ago, and on this tour with Janae, I heard information that was new to me. My 19 year old daughter also enjoyed the tour. How do I know? Because I didn't see her on her phone except for when we took a restroom break. Keep manifesting and telling our stories!!

Highly recommend taking the tour with Janae. She has an amazing personality that takes the tour up a notch with her enthusiasm to share the historical facts hidden in plain site throughout South LA. The roots run deep and she has a great way of ensuring you're not only learning about the contributions of our ancestors, but enjoying the experience. Wish I had a bit more time to explore some of the local spots pointed out throughout the tour, but now have plenty of ideas for the next time I'm in the area.

3 hour tour of little known historical places in Black Los Angeles. From the Dunbar Hotel to Ray Charles' houses. Janae is a great tour guide and has more up her sleeve than the 3 hours we spent. A must for any tourists wanting to experience real LA history.

We were looking for unique experiences in our city and happened upon this tour. And we had such a great time! Janae is a super knowledgeable and fun tour leader. She talked us through the history and backstory of parts of South LA that I had no idea about and now I appreciate so more after this experience. I would highly recommend to do with a group of friends or for parents with kids. A fun way to spend a few hours out of your day learning about our awesome city.

This by far was the best cultural tour I’ve been on! Amazing historical information and fun times with the tour guide! She was welcoming, brilliant, knowledgeable, organized and down to earth. As a LA native, I learned a lot I didn’t know.
