Great spot, floated down from Johnson's Beach up River. Can't beat getting out at your own dock right at home instead of figuring out car rides after you are exhausted from the float. Really cute mid-century modern cabin, lots of light and some huge redwoods off the generous deck . Good space for families with kids.

INCREDIBLE! You're lucky to find yourself at Lucky Bend Lookout. My family rented here for an extended weekend. The private dock on 72 degree water on 95 degree days was sublime. The house is outfitted with all the life jackets and inflatables/river gear you could need. The house itself is cozy and well appointed with just spectacular views of the river from the back deck. Access to Guerneville is super easy by car and we ate at many of the incredible restaurants there like Baked On the River(very near the house), Big Bottom Market(not the best veggie options) and Pat's International(Great veggie options!) Also made our way to tastings at Ektimo and Russian River Vineyards. Glorious time. The hosts are the best you could hope for!

We absolutely loved the lucky bend lookout! It had everything a family could need, including games, toys and beach gear, which I thought was such a nice touch! My kids didn’t want to leave ❤️ There were so many family friendly things to do around the area as well in the winter! Sarah was such a good source of information and was able to help with any questions or recommendations on places to eat, hike and more!

Lucky Bend Lookout was the best place for our family vacation. There are so many simple, beautiful and well-considered details in this house. The furniture is stylish and comfortable without being fussy. The appliances are all high quality, and there's a heated floor in the kitchen (which was nice because the mornings were chilly, even in June). The cabinets are stocked with everything you need and nothing you don't.

There's a beautiful deck that comes right up to a huge Redwood tree, and looks down onto the river. On our first day, I watched an osprey catch a fish and eat it on the opposite bank. Behind the house, a path lined with flowers leads to a ladder and floating dock, where we could unlock a canoe, paddleboard and a couple of kayaks. The garage is stocked with everything we needed for water play. It was so easy to be here and enjoy life on the river.

My kids are six and two, so family vacations sometimes feel like more work than the regular workweek. This was totally different. We did some cool activities, like biking to a winery and hiking in Armstrong Redwoods park, but mostly we just chilled at the house and paddled to a nearby beach with the kids. We grilled and made s'mores and drank good wine. It was ridiculously relaxing. I can't wait to go back.

Lucky Bend Lookout was great. It has everything you need for a lovely vacation. Such a family friendly home any kid would love. Some of my favorite things were the pull out couch great for sleepovers!! The big windows with a beautiful view and the fire pit. It’s right on the river great for summer days. Sarah was so helpful with all my questions from restaurants to wineries. Definitely a gem!!

This review is long overdue .Very tidy and lovely home , right on the Russian river . It is equipped with everything you need. There are Kayaks/canoes/floats/ beach toys for guest use. Very kid friendly. Great beds, nice bathroom and Heated floors. Sarah is a great host and is available when you need her . Very nice and has great recommendations about the area. We had a great stay!
