Cheap, clean and suitable place to stop to sleep in btwn long drives. It's a truck stop area but if you don't mind that's it's fine. It's worth it to get shut eye. Lots fast food and gas station and A taste of India restaurant on the same street.

This is a great location for convenient food gas and necessities. It also offers breakfast, clean rooms, and even a pool! And the best customer service I have experienced in years! Stephanie R is a great asset to this company. Her professionalism and people skills are so rare to find these days. She was such a delight to find and most likely the reason I just decided to stay an additional night here. People like this, are a great asset to any company. Thank you again for making me feel comfortable and welcome. You will not be forgotten. And I will definitely be a return customer here on my routes in the future. Thank you Stephanie R!!

Best value for money while on the road! Way better than the Motel 6’s we stayed in in San Diego and LaVerne. Hair dryer, shampoo, cinditioner, fridge and microwave all of which were not present at Motel 6. Staff is an amazing team that are honest and friendly and helpful and interesting!! Stephanie R. Is an amazing manager and her team Rosa, Sandra, Joanna, and Stephanie are incredibly welcoming and friendly!! I recommend a stay here if you’re way too sleepy to drive after finishing the grapevine!

Pretty bad. The first room I was put in, the broken smoke alarm was lying on a shelf, a large spider in a web was hanging in a corner (with a large sider in it), the dresser had no front (broken) and the metallic bed frame screeched when ever any pressure was put on it. They moved me two doors down which was marginally better. The walls were dirty. There were small bugs (they told me tomato beetles invade this time of yes). I regretted not staying at the Motel 6.

First room I was assigned to had lots of flies, roaches, and the fire detector was near the window detached. I got a different room which was better but the tv didnt work and there was some dead flies from varying place.

This is honestly a great hotel and overall the best deal in Southern California. You could pay $300 a night in San Francisco or Palmdale or LA and still be in a dangerous place and dangerous area. Whereas Vagabond Inn is a very affordable and very safe. No one will ever bother you here I promise unlike the big cities. The staff are all very helpful, kind and courteous. The manager Stephanie R is very great and will always help you with any sort of billing problems or special needs for accommodations. I give them 10 Stars overall.

The rating is because of the low price: the rooms are what you would expect with some occasional insects and a bathtub that can't be filled, but the needs are clean, the ac works and the curtains keep the place dark. The noise from the road isn't too bad.

Overall: For $60, this hotel offers a budget-friendly stay with some basic amenities, but be prepared for a no-frills experience.

Pros:

* Adequate Climate Control: The air conditioning unit seemed to function well and kept the room cool.
* In-Room Convenience: A refrigerator and microwave were available for guest use, which can be helpful for longer stays or those traveling with food.
* Ample Parking: Plenty of well-lit parking was available with security cameras for added peace of mind.

Cons:

* Dated Condition: The hotel appears worn and could use some updating.
* Flooring: LVP flooring might not be ideal for everyone, especially those who prefer the comfort of carpeting.
* Bathroom Shortcomings: The shower pressure was weak, and there were no towel racks for convenience. Additionally, the single-use shampoo packets were difficult to open, particularly for guests with dexterity limitations.
* Uncomfortable Bedding: The bed lacked comfort, and only two small pillows were provided.
* Unsanitary Appearance: The phone appeared unclean.
* Poor Lighting: Harsh overhead lighting made the room less inviting, with no bedside lamps for a more relaxed atmosphere.
* Limited Breakfast Options: While a complimentary breakfast was offered, it lacked fresh fruit and variety.

Conclusion: This hotel might be suitable for a short stay on a tight budget. However, guests should manage expectations and understand it's a basic accommodation with limited amenities.
