This is a tough review to dial in. Let’s start with the hotel itself.

Staff experience was great. Amica was very helpful despite being short staffed and very busy for a late night check in. We asked for additional accommodations like joining rooms and a pack n play crib for our newborn. It took a while but she didn’t forget and delivered the crib to our room.

Location was great as it pertained to our visit to six flags. However, there was a car show happening at the fair grounds behind us and the theme of the car show seemed to be impressive sound systems. We fell asleep to booming base and woke up to booming base, not just during the event but in the hotel parking lot where most of the cars from the show were parked. This made sleep very difficult. On the second night we experienced the same thing, loud music and also loud “bangs” that did not sound like gun shots, but more like something heavy being thrown hard up against the hotel walls.

So like I said above, hard to dial this one in… we might have just chose a bad weekend. If their was nothing happening at the fair grounds during our weekend I would have given this stay 5 stars.

Apparently this place was recently renovated, and my experience was awful. The interior of the room looked nice, but after three attempts at getting my key to work on the door I finally gave up. We had adjoining rooms and I just resigned myself to using the door to the other room. The TV worked at night, but in the morning it no longer operated. The TV had power, but not even the hotel channel would work on the TV. The front desk staff smiled and were friendly, but consistently made empty promises of getting things fixed. Overall, the only thing that would ever make me use this hotel again is its proximity to six flags.

We had a huge ant problem. We reserved two rooms and one of the rooms was infested with ants. We did not realize it until we were halfway through our dinner. There were ants all over the place. I'm unsure how sanitary the rooms are after encountering this issue. On the other hand the front desk associate Tiffany was more than helpful and got us into another room. It just didn't feel right sleeping in the rooms after having ants all over the initial room.

The staff were so sweet to my son and I. Everyone made our trip wonderful! My son was so excited to wake up every morning with a gorgeous view of 6 flags and we both loved going to the heated pool after spending the day at the amusement park.

The hotel lost my reservation that I booked a week prior. Upon arrival the hotel claimed I didn't have a reservation after confirmation proof. I had to deal with the inconvenience of working with management to "find" my reservation and rebook my rooms. The manager offered complimentary drinks but only approved half off when the waiter served us a bill. ?‍♀️

Once finally checked in the hotel the room artwork was off the wall while displaying tape and marks on the wall (see pic) and therefore the room wasn't even decorated properly. There was no soap in one of the bathrooms, in addition the connecting room I booked didn't have a door handle to open the door (see pic) to the connecting room. I spoke to a manager who sent maintenance to the room who indicated they would come back with a door handle but never did.

I also applied and was approved for the Marriott credit card prior to my stay so I could use it for payment. I did not have the physical card yet so I added the card to my wallet app however, upon check out the hotel was not equipped with tap to pay so I couldn't use my card and it defeated the purpose of applying for it. (Let's get with the times...sheesh!)

One of the hotel staff Renika was great and handled our concerns but the overall experience with my accomendations and the quality of the room was poor and the experience of staying at the hotel was unsatisfactory and horrible from the start. The hotel was definitely not up to par or met Marriott's standards!

They double charged me after I already paid in full with Amex points. Then, while the charge is still in disputed as of today since July, they attempted to charge me again with the same amount, but sending me an email with today stay date. Ridiculous! In the email they sent, it even showed 0 guest. It's 1 thing to say you have a new system from renovating and whatnot. It's another to say all charge was refunded, yet nothing showed up and tried to charge me again for the same amount still in dispute. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

We chose this hotel for its convenient location, as it is situated right across the street from Six Flags, making it perfect for our visit. However, our dining experience at the hotel's bistro left much to be desired.

The Bad: I strongly advise avoiding the bistro. It was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. My girlfriend ordered the Bistro Burger, and I opted for the Margherita Flatbread. When our order arrived, it was completely incorrect. Her burger was missing all the toppings it was supposed to have: lettuce, cheese, tomato and aioli sauce. Additionally, the server never asked what side she wanted, which was supposed to be either fries or a salad. Instead of my flatbread, I received a soggy pepperoni flatbread, which I cannot eat as I am a vegetarian.

Upon returning the order, the server admitted she didn’t have the ingredients for a Margherita Flatbread and did not offer a refund. Instead, she asked if I wanted something else, so I chose a Caesar salad. She then told me to throw away the incorrect flatbread. As for my girlfriend's burger, the server said she didn’t have cheese and omitted the lettuce and aioli because "most customers don’t like that." This is unacceptable; when you order something from the menu, you expect to receive it as described.

When I received my $15 salad (no refund for the price difference), it was a tiny portion and room temperature. I took one bite and threw it away. At that point, it was clear that this bistro should be avoided at all costs, and it negatively impacted my view of the hotel.

The Good: On a positive note, the check-in experience was excellent. The lady at the front desk was very respectful and professional. The lobby was clean and beautifully maintained, featuring a convenient snack store with drinks, chips, and candy. Our room was spotless, smelled fresh, and everything was in perfect working order. The shower was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Overall, while the hotel itself was satisfactory and provided a comfortable stay, the bistro experience was so poor that it significantly marred our overall impression.
