For our first trip to Napa I decided to hire a guide / driver to help us pick wineries and locations to tour for a day because we had no idea where to start, and Active Wine Adventures was the perfect choice! We love Cabernet so I chose the Cabernet Lovers Tour and our guide, Sorel, was very responsive and called us to find out what we were interested in and what type of experience we’d like, which made it even more special for us. He planned our whole day, including a lunch reservation at a great restaurant (which was delicious!) and sent us our itinerary in advance for review or tweaks, etc…I was so impressed with his service. The wineries we visited were wonderful and he truly made our day, it was fabulous! We can’t wait to visit again and plan a hike with Active Wine Adventures, we know it will be awesome. Thank you for making my birthday so special, Sorel, we enjoyed ourselves and our first trip to the valley beyond measure!

We had an excellent experience on this tour. We enjoyed our moderate plus hike and amazing tasting at Hamel Family wines. The tour guide is knowledgeable and insightful regarding the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. A great choice for anyone looking for a private wine experience in Sonoma or Napa.

My friend and I did the wine and art tour. Sorel provided a wonderful experience. He picked us up in a very comfortable SUV and our first stop was the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art. We had a wonderful tour of the various galleries. The only complaint, we needed more time to explore, but now we have a reason to come back. We then had a leisurely lunch at the Red Grape, which was lovely. We ended the day with a wine tasting at Imagery Winery. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and capped it off with a viewing of the art gallery on property. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and can’t wait to curate a trip for next year. I highly recommend Active Wine Adventures.

Our guide, Sorel, was amazing! He made planning our winery tour a breeze leading up to the day. He picked three lovely wineries, each with its own unique vibe and beautiful scenery. Sorel answered all our questions with his extensive knowledge about wine and the wineries, making the experience truly enjoyable. Despite my friends and I having a short time in Sonoma, Sorel ensured we visited all three wineries and had enough time to appreciate each one. Imagery Estate Winery was probably our favorite, with its kind staff and relaxing atmosphere. Sorel even took complimentary photos of us with his digital camera, which turned out better than the ones we took on our phones. He provided the photos to us the next day, adding a special touch to our memorable tour. Highly recommend Active Wine Adventures and Sorel!

Sorel was an amazing guide and really created a perfect itinerary for us, he called and asked us our preferences and really crafted a great itinerary for us! We had an awesome time at all the places we went to, including lunch! It was really a beautiful day that went by so fast!

This was a great way to experience wine country. We have been in the past and always planned our own itinerary. Sorel did a fantastic job taking us places we would not have gone on our own. It was great to have someone driving us and keeping us on track. I would highly recommend Active Wine Adventures!

Booked the art & wine tour with Active Wine Adventures for my birthday celebration with my boyfriend and we had an amazing time! Loved that it was a private tour and Sorel really made it feel like a VIP experience. The car was very clean and he had safety shields up and sanitizer after every stop. We went to 2 beautiful wine tastings and had a really yummy lunch. It was hassle free because he set up everything for us and sent over the itinerary before our tour so we knew what was going on! We even had a little bit of extra time, during which he took us through Yountville to see some of their art walk. It was also a nice touch that he took photos of us during our tour and emailed them to me after. I highly recommend booking one of his tours if you're looking for an upscale experience in Napa for a reasonable price. I will be booking one of his other tours in the future!
