If you're bringing a trailer, be careful as it is hard to get to some of the cabins. It's also kind of hard to see what is a path and what is not, except that there's trees here and there. I guess just go between the trees and pray for the best? There are ticks, but that is pretty expected in the woods, just your friendly reminder to pack bug spray. The cabins are nice. Beds are hard. There's a mat I guess for like additional guests or something that's stained up and looks pretty gross, so if you plan to use that, bring a blanket to put on top of it. The trash cans are not pest proof and if you put things like food wrappers or empty food cans, you will be running all around the cabin and woods picking up trash. Other cabins in the area use bear-proof trash cans for this reason and it's much preferred. Some of the cabins have the trash bins right next to the cabin in which case, you will be woken up by these same pests (probably raccoons). There are 1001 notes pinned up on the walls everywhere with rules, so be prepared and bring your reading glasses.... I don't think we will be returning here, there are better cabins in the area...

Been going here several years now and off and on before that!! Great family run business and was sorry to see this visit it was for sale but I got to speak with the owners one last time and it's being sold to family so I'll continue to go here! My favorite cabin is the Blacksmith even tho I didn't get it this time had a wonderful time getting away!! Have fun with the grandkids and best of luck to the new owners too!!

This place is amazing! This is the second time my wife five kids and I have stayed in the North Star. Owners are so nice and everything is well maintained. It's a definite must stay if you're coming to the Buffalo River.

I would rate it a 10 if I could!!||We stayed at the "North Star" the first week of August and it was perfect! Pictures do not do this cabin justice. It was very CLEAN and updated with still keeping the cabin feel. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (all boys) and it was never too loud or crowded in the cabin. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals, even a waffle maker that the kids loved!! Location of the cabin was very private and serene but still only a mile away from the Buffalo. When we arrived a little late at check in, due to our Loco Ropes adventure, we were greeted with a smile and offered a large selection of movies to watch in our cabin. Not one time was anyone at Silver Run cabins rude to us. We checked several surrounding cabin rentals and Silver Run cabins were the best deal! We will definitely be back again!!!

This past June marked our 3rd stay at Silver Run and it only gets better each time.||||Location: Very close to the BNR and convenient to Yellville. Quiet. Trees offer a nice shield between the cabins. Some are even more sequestered than others ||||Accommodations: Cabins have been well stocked clean* and has added bonuses... IE: DVDs available to watch (no TV reception) Internet!, beautiful handmade quilts and hand crafted furnishings. To my knowledge each one was built by the owners. The love for their craft shows. *In-spite of C19 we felt at ease that the cleanliness was more than adequate, measures were taken to ensure safety of guests. ||||Owners: awesome. Friendly, welcoming and willing to do what it takes to please. Was able to switch our cabin to a larger one during this past visit. ||||Price: very reasonable.||||Like my title says, it is like going home...every time.

We stayed for 1 week in The Blacksmith cabin from 3/9/19-3/16/19. It was gorgeous! The amount of creativity and work that went into every detail of that cabin was very impressive!! We absolutely LOVED our stay! The owner Belinda was just the sweetest, most helpful hostess you could ask for and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! Thanks Belinda! We will definitely be back in the future!

Loved it. Very cozy feeling and fit a family of 5, 3 small children mom and dad. We stayed in the white eagle one. Tucked into the wood enough that you don't hear to much and get the feeling of being alone but also have cabins not far from you. Very family friendly and wonderful couple who own them. We would stay there again in years to follow for family vacations to Arkansas.
