BCMC ER is the worst ER I’ve ever experienced. The nurses are rude and get mad when they actually have to do their job. You can hear them at the nurses station talking about other people. They don’t check on the patients and have horrible bedside manners. You can easily tell who’s only there for a paycheck. They need new staff or retrain what they have. Save yourself the time and frustration and go to a different ER.

I have been very pleased with the care I have gotten at the BCMC Family Clinic. I see Kristen Harvey as my provider. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the drive for me, because it is an hour from where I live, but I will continue to commute to this clinic for my care. Kristen and her staff are always so kind and efficient. One thing that I love about them is that I do not feel rushed when I am there for an appointment. They are very thorough and take their time. Also, when they say that they will follow up with results, they actually do. Based on past experiences at other clinics where no one ever follows up with test results, calling in prescriptions, etc., this goes a long way with me. Definitely feel like I get top care from Kristen and will continue to see her.

My husband was very ill and we came to the ER. The staff came out and helped him into the hospital, took him right into a room, and began treating him. They kept his privacy, and were very fast with starting test. Once he was admitted, the good care continued. The physician was great in explaining his diagnosis, and the nurses treated him very kind. This small facility met our needs, just as well as any large facility would have.

I had my second child here. The lack of efficiency is alarming. I had two glucose screenings. The first one is standard procedure but the second one had no merit. I had two ultrasounds here one during my second trimester and the last one 3 weeks before, I had my son; in which they told me confidently that I was having a girl. I bought several items for a baby girl that I could not return because it was the beginning of the pandemic. I was told it was the second time it had happened that month with a shrug. In addition to all of that, the hospital’s technology is so obsolete that in all honesty would make you consider another physician just to accommodate basic needs of labor. I had an epidural and literally could not walk due to numbness for 7 weeks. I expressed all of this and was told it would eventually go away within a day. I have NEVER experienced an instance where a patient doesn’t get wheeled out of the hospital; but I didn’t. Dragging swollen feet and holding a wall… I walked out of the hospital to get in my vehicle while the nurse watched me struggle. Never offered to get a chair or anything. The disregard for me as a patient is why I never returned for my six week checkup… nor have I recommended anyone as a new patient. I highly suggest moms to find a new Dr and hospital/birthing center where your needs are a priority and efficiency is standard.

The doctor we originally went to (once before she was out) was in network and then she left to go on maternity leave. THEY (whoever does that there) assigned us to another provider but failed to mention she was not in network. This is so unethical and very misleading. We just got a bill today for the full amount because my daughter went there on 12/20/21 and the doctor wasn’t in network.

I’m some states this is considered illegal. Unfortunately, it’s not illegal in Arkansas but really should be added.

The emergency room was nasty and dirty. I'm a housekeeper my self and I can tell wasn't wiped down. The floor is dirty. It's bad when I see dry blood on the legs of the machine that takes your temp and blood pressure. There are old arm cuffs attached to this machine. I see someone's body hair inside of it. Not to mention the staff in the er was rude and unprofessional. The only person that I seen that was professional was the guy at the er door. I shouldn't be hearing the nurses at the nurses station talking about my child condition all the way room 3.

My 4 month old son had a collapsed lung and was sent to Arkansas Children’s Hospital because January 28th, 2020 he wasn’t tested for the flu but they gave him flu medicine when he had pneumonia. All they did was a Chest X-ray and sent him home with flu medicine and a inhaler. I took him back there Friday 31, 2020 and he had a collapsed lung and pneumonia. My son almost died. He could have died. All because people there didn’t finish their job and his doctor didn’t check the radiology report and call me to tell me. We didn’t know. Friday night they done CPR and IO and Put a chest tube in and a tube down his throat to help him breath and a lot more stuff. The nurse that Friday night thought it would be a good idea to come out in the waiting room and with all smiles and giggles and tell me and my family that “oh he is alive.” It was disrespectful and I would want to sue. Because I don’t like anyone should go through but I did because of people not doing their jobs and finishing their work before they clock out.
