Quite possibly the rudest reservation clerk I've ever experienced, and I travel a lot. No one associated with the motel is on location. You must call for a reservation and they send someone down with a key. You can't look at a room before you have paid for it. My wife is very smoke sensitive. More than once we've asked to switch rooms when our initial room had been recently smoked in - and it has never been a problem. I explained that to the reservation clerk and asked if she could send the guy down with keys to two rooms. No. I'm confused. " We can't help it if people smoke in the room, they are supposed to be non- smoking". I understood that, I explained. I just asked they bring two different room keys so if the first one had been smoked in we could take the second. No possible way. " Sir, I just don't know how to satisfy you!".
Seriously, was bringing down two room keys an unreasonable thing to ask? Was it a lot of extra trouble? I can only imagine what it would be like if you had an actual problem!

A great affordable spot near mountain harbor resort the staff was there to serve and answer any questions nice stay

We had stayed at the Joplin Inn in the past so knew how nice it was. Older building but well kept, clean, easy access to the activities we had in the area. Resort staff reached out to us during the stay to make sure everything was satisfactory. Hope to return again.

Room was great and I loved the price, very clean, beds were comfortable, and loved that the room had a ceiling fan. We were never warm when we slept at night. Parking right in front of our room. If you needed a snack or fuel, the Joplin store is across the street...very convenient.

Clean, comfortable and homey. The extras like coffee and popcorn were welcome after a long drive. The staff were extremely helpful as I was new to the area and did not know my way around to pay for my room. The roads were dark, foggy and dangerous. They escorted me through the danger and made me feel very safe. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Well it is a great place to stay over night right off highway 270 east before hotspring Arkansas. There's county's store across the other side where you go and check in too your room. They have fast food to eat and drinks and snacks.

We were pleased with our stay. We were near the Avant mine company and the creek behind the inn was lovely. The Mount Ida cafe has excellent food with amazing prices. ||We will return and stay longer next time!

Clean, affordable, and comfortable room. Convenient location for mining . Staff was good and friendly. Pretty creek in backyard area with a relaxing lawn and view of creek which is very easily accessible. Comfortable beds too
