Booked Viking River Cruise from Munich to Budapest. Booked stateroom with a balcony. Due to flooding Viking put us in buses across Europe. We never sailed from port to port we spent over 18 hours in buses, had to change boats 3 times, had to pack and unpack 3 times. We booked a stateroom with a view and were only ever on a dock adjacent to another boat so we could never use our balcony as you will see in the pictures attached. We skipped Vienna and were parked in an industrial dock in Bratislava next to shipping containers, a metal recycling center and a highway. Viking was not honest during this cruise and each day our boat director Paul Lau had excuses that turned out to be untruthful. On our last night bed bugs were found in our friends stateroom on the Viking Jaryl. In reality a Viking River cruise would be an acceptable way to travel via the river. However it is a horrible hotel if you only spend time docked on the boat. We felt relieved to be getting off the boat and that is not how you want to end a very expensive vacation. Viking customers service has been non existent since this occurred. There was nothing from their glossy brochure delivered on this trip.

Photos are of the view from our balcony, bed bugs, our row of boats docked by highway from our bus when changing boats a third time, the scrap metal recycling center next to our boat and the water we had to cross between containers to get to our boat. Note we had to pass through six adjacent boats to get to ours.

Overall gate one is number one for cost and quality. Check their itenary on affordable your and get an added cost reduction if you book with them. Be sure to get an understanding what your ultimate goal is for trip with agent so communications are yet when using agent and not direct with the actual tour company.

Our trip to So Africa was magnificent! Seeing the wild animals in their natural habitat was an amazing experience. The tour guide and the staff were very professional making our journey a unique experience.

Working with Affordable Tours was easy and I was always able to get a reply immediately. However, the tour advisors changed 2 times in the few months I worked with them. It would have been nice if I was informed of the changes when it happens instead of my finding out when I tried to get in touch to find out at that time.
