We kayaked Salt Lake River. Directions were clear. The staff were friendly, professional, and timely. The kayaking was fun and adventurous. We were very well prepared with our training prior to launch. The only negative, which is not due to the kayak service, was the tubers! He didn't lie when he warned us that it would be like a pinball machine! Nevertheless, everyone was nice and friendly. I highly recommend this outing.

My wife and I had an unforgettable experience kayaking the Lower Salt River with Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch. From start to finish, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome right away. The safety consultation was not only informative but surprisingly funny—setting a relaxed and positive tone for the day.

This was the highlight of our trip to Arizona. Paddling down the river, we were surrounded by stunning desert scenery and even spotted wild horses along the shore—something we’ll never forget. The peaceful flow of the river and the beauty of the surroundings made it a perfect way to connect with nature.

We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re new to kayaking or a seasoned paddler, it’s a must-do adventure.

We went for the Sunday afternoon, brisket and burgers cowboy cookout yesterday evening. Quite a history for this area. The surrounding scenery is stunning. Long tables fitted with red checkered table-clothes and a denim table runner running down the middle of each with candles burning added to a very lovely ambience. Also flickering lights overhead. Music was provided by a very talented local musician. I don’t drink, but I gathered bottled beer, wine and white claw seltzer‘s being served at the bar. Serve yourself, ice, tea, lemonade, and water provided . The buffet was so fresh and delicious- consisted of a green salad, potato salad, coleslaw, mac & cheese, broccoli, cornbread and either brisket or hamburgers. Dessert was a fruit crumble. Topped with homemade whipped cream. This is definitely a family event. Lots of kids having a great time. You can play corn hole or a kid friendly game of darts that are on the lawn while you wait for dinner. All staff are so very friendly and accommodating. It is managed by a very gracious couple that we met . We did not stay overnight at the ranch, but would like to come back sometime to stay for a few days. This is going to become an annual event for us when we are in town for the winter from the chill of Iowa.

Hands-down, the best kayaking trip we’ve ever had. The location and views along the river were spectacular. The staff & boat crew were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Thanks to them it made the experience even better. We will definitely be back next year.
My only critique… You need to make your tip jar, bigger and visible. You guys deserve it!

We had a wonderful day at the Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch. We did a kayak trip down the Salt River. So very beautiful, so many birds, beautiful rock formations, cactus in bloom and we even got a glimpse of the wild horses. The equipment is well maintained and the guys who got us launched and picked us up were very helpful and did a good job getting us ready for our unguided kayak trip. I highly recommend this place. This is our second visit!

Emailed asking about wedding options communicated with email back-and-forth was told what was available then you have to book an appointment to go over everything in the email and see location where they allow you to have a wedding, etc.
Drove all the way out there the person wasn’t ready for us. We had to wait was told the options in the email are no longer offered, which was just offered to me two weeks prior. I left work early to get to this venue on time. The only time they had available to meet only to be told they can’t do what I was wanted after they told me I could in the email.. they could have simply left me a voice message or email me back telling me that the options were no longer available to save me time money and heartache. I grew up here as a young kid and wanted to get married here. Very disappointed asked to speak to a manager played phone tag never got to speak to anybody… the person who I met with gave me false hope that she would ask the owners but I could tell she was just blowing smoke. They cost me time off work when a simple email or phone call would’ve been the thing to do if they don’t offer that wedding package anymore!!!! What sad is a bad word gets around a lot faster than a good one. Super heartbroken don’t waste your time!!!

We enjoyed a fantastic family vacation at the ranch. The views of the nearby Bulldog mountains from the lodge were spectacular (see attached photo which doesn't do it justice!).

The staff at the ranch were welcoming and helpful and the food was delicious. My kids are already asking to go back. They had no screen time and just played outdoors: swimming, hiking, rafting, roasting marshmallows, dancing. It was such a nice reset for our family after a long winter on the East Coast (we live in Connecticut).

I can't recommend the place highly enough, we will definitely be going back many, many more times!

The staff make this hidden gem a fabulous experience. The fantastic venue included delicious food, stunning views, memorable live music and the perfect ambiance for a casual Sunday dinner. We attended the Brisket & BBQ and enjoyed an amazing evening! We were doted upon from the moment we parked through end with a perfect night cap as we visited with new friends around the fire and enjoyed S'mores. It was a picture perfect Sunday evening!!!
