I recently had the chance to try two different jet ski rental spots—one right on the ocean and another a little further out at Sunshine—and the difference was night and day.

Ocean Location:
The biggest advantage here is convenience. If you’re already at the beach, it’s easy to hop on a jet ski without much effort. However, it’s definitely on the pricey side—we paid $100 for just 30 minutes. On top of that, the riding area felt limited and a bit crowded. It got the job done, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Sunshine Location:
This spot is 100% worth the drive. For $140, you get a full hour on the water, which is a great deal. But what really sets it apart is the experience. You’re not stuck in a small area—you can cruise just about anywhere on the water, which makes it way more fun and adventurous. Plus, the people here are so much nicer and more welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great time, and it made the whole vibe feel way more relaxed and enjoyable.

Bottom Line:
If you’re after quick and convenient, the ocean rental works. But if you want better value, more freedom on the water, and genuinely friendly service, Sunshine is absolutely the way to go. I promise the drive is more than worth it.

Second year in a row booking with Sunshine, and another great experience. We did the 1/2 day pontoon boat rental, and it was amazing. We managed to see stingrays and dolphins during our rental, and had an amazing time out on the water and on the beaches. The staff were very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend Sunshine if you’re considering renting a pontoon boat. We can’t wait to go back next year!

What an awesome experience! We brought our nephews here to jet ski and the staff were so friendly. Checked in and was on the water within 10 minutes. The boys had a blast and are ready to go back tomorrow. The prices were better than other places, definitely recommend this place. Beyond 5 stars for sure!

Captain Alex was the best !!!! Friendly and very informative. He was full of random cool facts about everything on our path to Shell Island and much more. He found us plenty of Dolohins to swim with, and the snorkeling was so much fun ! This is a must do attraction in PCB !!

Great experience! My friends rented a pontoon, and the people got us going pretty quick once we checked in. My friends rented for a full day (9am to 5pm). We drove the boat to Shell Island and spent the whole day there. The kids saw a ton of jellyfish and some hermit crabs. There was an ice cream boat that had passed on by, and we called them up. The ice cream was $5 each. There was also a food truck/boat that parked nearby and had a different variety of food. We were able to get some boiled peanuts for my friend.

Had a truly amazing time on the Jet Ski Tour with Luke, he was so attentive and gave us an unforgettable experience! I loved seeing dolphins so close up! We saw at-least 5 and one went right under our ski!! Exploring shell island was so cool too! We will def be coming back! I highly recommend!!

Amazing! The best part of our trip for sure!! Well worth $50 a piece for my boyfriend and I. Our tour guide was Jason and he knew so much about the island. He guided us safely and made sure everyone had fun but no one was left behind. He gave great instructions!! The view of the water was awesome and we saw 4 or 5 dolphins while on the jet ski. When you get to shell island it actually looks like a Caribbean beach. The sand is white and the water is clear blue and emerald green. Watch out for shells though. Tip: If the driver isn't at least 30, the driver will have to take a test so get there early!! I highly recommend this jet ski rental to everyone!!

Captain Jen was great! Super friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure to show us everything possible during our dolphin tour and made sure we were able to snorkel where there were tons of sand dollars! Highly recommended!
