The Lodge nestled a-top Arkansas highest Mountain (Mount Magazine) is magnificent. It's an absolutely beautiful location, with majestic and breathtaking views from the lodge. We visited in January for a day, and enjoyed everything about it. The lodge (despite being state owned) is a beautiful, well kept, massive building that could take a whole day just to explore. The restaurant was beautiful and well kept. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We never actually stayed in the rooms, but definitely have plans to make a return anniversary stay. It felt like Arkansas' version of a Rocky Mountains Lodge. You won't regret a visit!

We have stayed here for years, most recently a couple months ago. The lodge is a special place that keeps drawing my heart back. The rooms have been updated and are lovely with outstanding views. The lodge itself is beautifully maintained. All but one employee at the front desk were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The restaurant offers a good variety and the servers are wonderful, although the last visit we found the food preparation to be inconsistent in quality.
The reason for the low score on service is because there is ZERO housekeeling during your stay. This started during Covid and has continued. I don’t need someone to make my bed, vacuum or clean the bathroom daily, but for the room price, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have trash removed daily. The room has two tiny trash cans and guests have to haul the trash out themselves when they are full. Since there is a mini fridge and microwave, it’s not unusual to have food and drinks in the room, thus resulting in those tiny cans being overflowing with cans, bottles and food packaging. For a hotel charging $200 plus for a room, the guests shouldn’t be required to haul their trash.

Wonderful accommodations. Booked on a whim and was not disappointed. Cannot wait to go back when the leaves are changing!|The room was spacious and very clean. The balcony and screen door were a bonus, again, can’t wait til the weather is cooler. The employees were friendly and the professional. The food at the lodge was also good, loved the chocolate gravy on the breakfast buffet…never had that before!

Lovely lodge equipped with lots of amenities: restaurant, bar, pool, hot tub, exercise room, game room, and sundries/souvenir store.

We stayed in Cabin 8 which is a short walk to the Lodge. This cabin has 2 bedrooms with 1 king size bed and full bathroom in each. It has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, washer/dryer, and living room with fireplace. The outdoor porch features an overlook view and has a table/chairs, rocker, and hot tub.

Really comfortable stay. The cabin was clean and modern/new. Perfect for a glamping experience!

Our stay at the lodge was fantastic, thanks to the great staff who were always smiling and ready to help. Karen did a wonderful job checking us in, making us feel welcome from the start. The lodge itself is beautiful and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Lovely location. We stayed in king room and it was large and very nice. All king rooms have a balcony with beautiful view. The bed is very comfortable. Very well built lodge. Doors quietly close so no banging of doors like so many places. Extremely pleasant employees. Loved taking a dip in their pool & jacuzzi. Nice area to take a stroll. Definitely would visit again.

We stayed for 3 nights at lodge. View from our room was beautiful. Restaurant had a good variety of dishes. Service at the hotel was great. Always friendly and helpful.

Wonderful and relaxing. For restaurant prices all entrees should include a salad n roll...and a soft drink...waiter seemed to forget us n had to search to be able to pay our bill. Glad we had our dessert to share in cabin. One meal expensive enough...glad we had things with us.
