Surrounded by Nature, Schlitz Audubon is a beautiful and peaceful wedding venue. There are gorgeous nature trails, teaming with life and flowers, a lagoon with a boardwalk, a cute beach along Lake Michigan, and a wooded clearing for weddings! As a wedding Photographer, venues that are too remote can create logistical challenges for wedding days, but Schlitz is the perfect balance of being in nature while also being accessible. Boardwalks and bridges make taking in the trails in wedding attire an attainable feat, and you just can’t beat the way the sunlight trickles through the trees during the day or how it makes the tall grasses glow around sunset.

The spacious Nature Center building offers all the modern amenities large celebrations require while maintaining the right vibes. Its wood and stone construction and large windows keep guests in nature while providing plenty of space for candlelit dining.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. The event staff was an absolute dream to work with. Responsive, thoughtful, and so helpful every step of the way. The natural beauty of the space is unreal; we didn’t even feel the need to decorate for our ceremony because the setting was already so beautiful. The raptors during cocktail hour were absolute showstoppers and added perfectly to the majestic vibes of the scenery. Our guests loved meeting the birds and still talk about how special and unique that experience was. This place holds a forever piece of our hearts. It was the best wedding ever, the pictures turned out SPECTACULAR, and we are so grateful to Schlitz Audubon for giving us such a breathtaking and meaningful place to begin our marriage!

I was so happy to be able to see “my kind of vision” been establish by a women decades ago😍🥰😁 the place is a nature oasis and I was blown away by the creativity, heart and detail that is behind all of what I saw- and I need to go back, because 2 hours is not enough to see it all or even half of it.

The entrance is $10/person and is totally worth it! From cool living animals, to outside classroom, high tower view point and acess to the beautiful lake Michigan.

Worth for a day trip, alone, with partner or all the family.

A secret gem of a place. I've driven past the entrance hundreds of times and didn't even know it was there! We only went to have family photos taken at the center, but after that we were sold and got a membership. The trails are easy enough for our four year old to walk, and he could spend hours throwing rocks at the beach. It's a special retreat that our whole family enjoys. We can't wait to take advantage of more of their programs next year!

I’ve lived in Wisconsin for two years and never knew that this beautiful place existed: The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. It used to be a farm for the Schlitz Brewery draft horses. This nature center has six miles of trails that take visitors through 185 acres of forests, wetlands, restored prairies, ravines, bluffs, and Lake Michigan shoreline.

It's absolutely beautiful and worth a visit if you’re ever in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area.

First time here. Got a membership as a birthday gift. Beautiful place with so much to explore. Very well maintained trails and facilities. Love that they have so much that is wheelchair accessible. So happy we have a pass and cannot wait to return during different times of the year.

We’ve been coming here for four years. When my kids were still in a stroller, we would do the accessible boardwalk trails.

We started getting a membership once my oldest could start the summer camp programs (gets you priority access to register). The membership also has reciprocity across the country.

We started going every other week because my kids always wanted to check in on the turtles. Harley and Emerson both have such fun personalities.

It’s one of our favorite beach Access points on Lake Michigan. As long as you are up for the walk and effort to get there.
