This past weekend, a group of REALTORS® from the REALTORS® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin (RANWW) rented side-by-sides from Trailhead Adventure Rentals, and it was nothing short of incredible!

From start to finish, the experience was smooth and easy. The rental process was seamless, and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable with the machines before hitting the trails. The side-by-sides were well-maintained, powerful, and easy to handle, which made our 96-mile round trip an absolute blast.

We explored beautiful trails with breathtaking views, and every mile was filled with fun, adventure, and camaraderie. Trailhead Adventure Rentals really knows how to set you up for an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking to explore the trails around Rice Lake and want reliable equipment and exceptional service, this is the place to go!

We’ll definitely be back for another ride soon. Highly recommend!

Wow! This was an amazing place to rent a side by side!! Super friendly owners who just want you to have a great time. Side by sides are well maintained, super clean and run great. Trails were amazing this time of year, fall colors were breathtaking. We highly recommend! Plus, they will be renting snowmobiles this winter! Win!! Dana and his wife were very friendly and knowledgeable of the trail system that starts where their parking lot ends! The sleds were brand new and had 1 mile when we hopped on. Highly recommend renting from them either in the winter or summer for their sxs.

My grandsons and brother and I had a awesome time in Wisconsin first time in the ricelake area had planned on snowmobiles but the weather had different plans Dana at trailhead recommend a enclosed side by side instead we were amazed at all the trails and roads we could use Dana also gave us great places to visit for food and drink along the trail
He is very knowledgeable about this area and what's going on there
P.S he is awesome with the children making them part of the conversation and giving them simple tasks to feel included

It’s been over a week since we returned the machine and we’re still waiting for the owner to return the merchandise my daughter forgot in the machine! I will never recommend this place to anyone. Below is the Polaris Review I wrote the day after we returned the machine. I paid $780 for a two day rental and had to pay an additional $150 for “cleaning” services! I would’ve rather paid $1000 for the two day rental so I wouldn’t have had to put up with the owners ridiculous customer service.

When I returned the machine, I was treated with disrespect, talked down to, belittled and embarrassed in front of my 16yr old daughter who was visiting from Alabama during her summer vacation. It was the most embarrassing experience I have ever went through with my daughter. Using scare tactics and sending me text messages about contract information after I returned the machine it is not something anyone would enjoy. My daughter and I enjoyed our two day rental and it was completely ruined when we returned the machine. We had a blast riding the ATV Washburn County trails. We used the machine properly and safely the entire weekend and had no issues. We are not pavement pounders and used this machine for what it was built for. During the two days we had the machine we rode over 160 miles of backcountry ATV trails. Considering it’s been raining for the past three months in northern Wisconsin, the trails were not dry or dusty. Every corner was full of water and ever low spot had some mud in it. If you rent these machines, you should know what the trails look like, and how they constantly change due to weather conditions. During our Saturday ride, it poured down rain three separate times. We didn’t stop, we had a blast, we got soaking wet, and enjoyed spending time together in this machine. The owner of this establishment treated us with such disrespect and arrogance when we returned it and ruined our entire weekend. I could not believe the bullish and entitlement which came out of the owners mouth! The way my daughter and I were treated when we dropped the machine off was totally unacceptable. The first thing out of his mouth when I dropped the machine off on Sunday was, “you’re the only person who doesn’t know where to park”, then he proceeded to say “this was the dirtiest machine he had ever seen”. All the owner did was complain and talk about all the things he could do and check to see how we ruined the machine and how Polaris backs him with millions of dollars so there’s nothing we can do about it. He never once asked us if we enjoyed our time, if anything went wrong or if we had fun. It was apparent to me the owner was enjoying making me feel like crap and belittling me in front of my daughter. I did not rent a Polaris XP1000 2-seater to drive around on the pavement. My daughter and I could’ve rode around in my truck if that’s what we wanted to do. We rented this machine for two days so we could have fun and experience what the trails in northern Wisconsin had to offer. In two days we put on over 160 miles. As I mentioned, it had rained for the past two months in northern Wisconsin. The trails were full of water, mud, but not a speck of dust. If you ride these machines enough, you know how horrible it can be with severely dusty trails. My daughter always wore her helmet and we always wore our seatbelts. I have lived in Northern Wisconsin for most of my life and was raised in Washburn County. I know how to use this equipment and I’m an experienced driver. At the end of the day, my daughter loved every moment, was able to see some wonderful sights, and experience what I set out to accomplish on her summer vacation. The owner of this establishment ruined our entire weekend when we returned the machine and I’ll never recommend this business to anyone.

Excellent experience. Dana and Jennifer were a pleasure doing business with and had great communication. We rented 2 razors for 3 days, the machines were in excellent condition as if they came off the showroom floor. We had a great time exploring all the beautiful trails.

Our group had a muddy great time renting some side-by-side ATVs in August. Staff was friendly and helpful, got us setup and on the way quickly. The ATV trails lead right to their front door. It did take about 15-20 minutes to get out of town, down a few paved roads here and there to get to the main trails. We got lucky with weather, trails were not dusty nor too busy towards the north east of the rental shop. Found plenty of mud holes to hit. We hope to visit again soon for another ride.
