A wonderful bridge - historic, quaint, and a not jarring ride. Sadly, the only walkway is on the western side of the bridge. From a photography standpoint, unless you happen to catch a barge on that side of the bridge, your best photograph is going to be of the Ohio River turning towards Weirton. Still, a minor quibble.

Since this bridge has changed owners they have not only raised the price, you can't pay for the car behind you! They still take your money and probably pocket it!! My husband paid for my car and the guy held out his hand for my money too! When my husband told him about it they got rude and one of them showed a gun!! What a wimpy man to flash a gun to an unarmed man over a dollar!! Never using this bridge again!

The Wayne Six Toll Bridge really hits at the heart of what it means to be a bridge in the modern area of bridge being.

This is a beautiful historic bridge and it is privately owned and so the small toll likely goes toward the preservation of this bridge. Back in the earlier days of this country, many large bridges were tolled and owned/operated by bridge companies and private interests. This bridge is a rare survivor of that period. It is worth the short detour to take this bridge instead of the modern US-30 Bridge.

Cool! We were looking for a dinner and GPS took us this route, I will look on to the history of this bridge when I get home? It's said privately owned... so it's neither OH or WV property? ...

Crossed over this bridge yesterday. Really cool and very different. What was interesting is my GPS i had marked to bypass toll roads and interstates but this was included on my rural route from Warren ohio to Western Pennsylvania. 0.75 for a one way toll..

DO NOT CROSS THIS BRIDGE BY FOOT!

The flooring is nothing but wooden planks you might see on a railroad. Some are rotted, and some are loose entirely! This old bridge needs to be overhauled, especially for the safety of pedestrian foot traffic. Sheesh!

Guys in toll booth are rude if you ask them for your change as appose tickets. This bridge is old and poorly maintained because it's privately owned. Someone will get hurt one day
