They never answer the phone and they have closed my case, denied my case, then asked for statements from my bank for the first twelve days of a month, denied my case again. It took 4 months to finally get my benefits last year from August 2023 until December 2023. They were $90 less than usual. I have to renew every 4 months (I am over 50-time limit rules do not apply to me plus I am enrolled in college) My recertification came in April 2024. It is June 16th and just got my benefits yesterday. They are rude, dismissive and interrupt me every sentence I say. They will not acknowledge or answer my simple questions. Plus, having to yell and bend down to speak through that plexiglass is horrible. I sound upset because I have to raise my voice. The receptionist said "Mam, I am sorry you are upset, you don't have to yell" Ugh, yeah, Maria evidently i do.

Having people yell their social security numbers and their kids social security numbers in a room full of strangers is stupid. Let the people go back to a room and address the issues. It's no one else's business how I got to this point in my life. I felt like everyone was on the set of Jerry Springer just waiting for the disturbed other party to come out from behind the door. The feeling only increases when non English first language person tries to talk to the lady behind the glass that's also non English first language both trying (yelling) English at each other. This is very unfortunate for the person needing help AND the lady trying to help her. Bring them back to a private room and I am sure they won't be yelling at each other. Bring us all back to a private room so we're not exposing ourselves to public as identity theft is a serious problem in our society you would think our government would take this more seriously. Please for the love of anything let people go back to a private room to have their personal issues sorted. Please!?!

I went into the office to have my EBT cancelled because I moved out of state. I filled out the form, the woman at the desk filed the form like she was supposed to and told me it would take 10 days to process and I received a notice in the mail 2 weeks later. I didn't have a bad experience, as long as you go into the office in person and don't try to be the first person there, you can get thing's accomplished. You will NEVER get anywhere using a phone!

Been trying to renew my medicaid benefits online through my account for my kids for the past few weeks.
Every time i do, an error always occurs when I'm trying to update information so it says to try again later. I come back a day later and same thing so I wait another day. Same thing. Tried finishing my renewal again a week later and the week after that but same error. Attempted to finish my renewal last night and it gives an error which says to contact them with the provided phone#. Called at 9:45 and has been remaining on the line, waiting to get a hold of a rep for over an hour. Still waiting as I type this review.

Is there an email or a direct phone# to an actual person i can reach out to?

At this point, I'd rather just put in a new application for medicaid.

Update:
Finally got a hold of a rep around 11:30 just to so she can forward and put me on hold for the next case manager available. I've been on hold until the line was abruptly disconnected a minute ago (12:33pm).
Ridiculous!!!!

These people will not answer the phone for anybody for any reason I tested my theory even and went up there and started calling for hours and they will legitimately just sit there talking with each other laughing hanging out and STILL they just let the phone ring and ring and ring. It's nothing to do with a high call volume they just know that NOBODY is going to make them do their jobs because apparently the "bosses" in this place have zero authority over the employees and the employees don't actually have to do anything at all and still get paid for "working" there. This is embarrassing and highly inappropriate for a department of HUMAN SERVICES . It's almost like they're told to make sure they don't actually help anybody. Just continue to change appointments and never pick up the phone and they don't have to deal with people
