The visitor center, sometimes referred to as the Alan Bible Visitor Center, is located off Boulder City Parkway (Route 93), in Boulder City. The center has plenty of parking, including large size RVs, restrooms, walking paths, a several shaded sitting areas around the building. Inside the visitor center you will find a staffed information desk with very friendly and knowledgeable Rangers, who are more than happy to assist you. There is a gift shop towards the back as well as a small museum/display area with interactive displays, a small movie screening area and numerous informational displays about the area, including wildlife. If you are new to the area or simply visiting, this is a great place to start off your journey of the Lake Mead Recreational Area.

Great National Recreation Area (NRA) Visitors Center!
Located just a couple miles down from Hemenway Park (where you can often see Bighorn Sheep grazing and relaxing in the shade!!!)
Don't forget to walk around outside to see the cactus and other local flora, but inside is a treat with a learning center, skulls and shells for you to touch and a large gift-shop full of souvenirs and cool stuff to inspire your children.

The center was well-staffed on the day of our visit, including park rangers knowledgeable about the local area.

Super great Rangers! They have Junior Ranger badges for Lake Mead and Tule Springs Fossil Park. And have three more books (Railroad, Angler, and Night sky) with badges or patches for finishing each one. Interesting exhibits. The rangers are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Super nice staff. They let my daughter use their wifi to do college classes for a few hours on our trip. They sell prickly pear jelly for $9.99 for a large container. At the Grand Canyon, the same jars were about double the price. Super clean bathrooms and a water refill station and really cool cactus garden. This is a must stop for people

This is a nice stop to add to your trip! There are interactive displays which are real fun and educational for both children and grownups.
There is a small gift shop up front and a hidden larger giftshop hidden in the back after going through some narrow, winding corridors.
There is a nice view of the lake from the parking lot.

What a lovely stop on a journey! Things are in bloom, and it was breezy, and there were house, finches singing around the building and of course the view is fabulous. Check out the store! And the restroom is work clean. I am really happy for my lifetime senior pass to get into six different types of government manage properties across the country national parks.
