This review is for the spa only.

I got a facial and a massage. In the future I hope the Masseuse I had will be more careful of clients hair. I think her rolling chair was running over my hair during the massage , damaging the ends. During the scalp section of the massage I can confirm she lifted my head and pulled my hair out. Not a good end to a massage. My hair is more damaged at the ends now. Most masseuses will make sure to be careful of hair, getting it out of the way.
I was ok but after feeling my hair and reflecting on the experience, I must be honest it upsets me a bit. I don’t think she cared very much/was not very apologetic. Very well was an accident but I’ve never experienced that with my long hair in the past.
She should Pay more attention .. and maybe care about what you’re doing. 🙁

On the other hand, the person who did my facial was very good and more than I could hope for. I felt like she actually cared.
I’d definitely see her again/ recommend her. So that helped make up for my bad experience of my hair being ran over by the chair and pulled out of my head.
I’m sorry but take this as a reminder to be more caring of a girl with long hair and I will take take this as a lesson too.

Huge thank you the night front desk lady Sarah. She was able to accommodate us last minute and provide us a room close to the pool. She told us where the best views are, the best restaurant around Tubac are and was professionally genuine. The rooms are beautiful with a Spanish architecture and style to them. Beds are comfortable and the property is beautiful. Thanks to the great service and impressions we got from Sarah we will be back!

I really enjoy the use of the sauna and steam room before my service. I always request Casandra for my service because she goes beyond what is expected. I appreciate her suggestions on how to keep my skin looking its best.

We were looking for a 24 hour escape from 2020 reality and a friend recommended we come here. SO happy we did. We splurged and booked the Casita Jet Suite. While they state you can't check in until 4PM, we got there around 3:15 and they had our room ready.

The grounds are gorgeous, and you feel away from it all which was exactly what we were looking for. We took a long walk around the property in the evening. It appears they had a few other retail/dining space at one time that has since closed. This place would be amazing for a special event.

Our room was outstanding, including the very private patio off the living room area. We loved the spaciousness of it and the sleep quality was solid.

We went to the pool for a dip. They have 2 pools and a hot tub. What I loved was the seating available. They had these cabana tents, I believe there were either 3 or 4 on each side. It appears they are first come first served so had we been there more than just one evening I probably would have been out here staking my claim for a day by the pool!

Check out was 11AM. The protocols on check in/check out for the pandemic were safe and contactless. While I did see some folks walking around without masks, they were able to maintain social distancing. The restaurant and gift shop both required masks. I would absolutely stay here again.

The room was adequate but not worth $260.00 a night. Got there changed clothes and went to a wedding. Returned to the room about 130am and used the bathroom (just liquid) for the first time and it backed up. Woke up early to leave, used the bathroom in a friends room, and mentioned it to the desk. All I got was "I'm sorry" as I was charged full price. I expected them to send someone to check it out and work out a discount. Next time I'll Uber to somewhere else.

Did Hacienda massage and prickly pear body detox. While both treatments are very good I would not recommend on the same day. It would have been nice if when making reservations to provide some feedback. Otherwise very nice spa.

This is not a balanced review of the resort. Overall it probably deserves a 4 or 5 star review. From my perspective, 3 stars is generous, mainly because there is almost constant noise and gas fume pollution from the lawn mowers and blowers. Restaurant experience was uneven - from an excellent salmon dish and friendly waitresses, to undercooked oatmeal and a surly waiter at breakfast.

Rooms are very nice and beds super comfortable. Restaurant service and vegetarian/vegan options leave a lot to be desired. Sauna and steam room were closed for maintenance when we visited. I did not feel the amenities and service justified the cost of our room ($290).
