Great place to stay during a trip to Virginia City. It's a bit of a walk from downtown, but a flat and easy one if you don't want to fight for parking, or drive after the saloons. The hot water did run out before we could fill up the spa tub in the anniversary sweet, other than that it was great!

Having stayed and enjoyed previous overnights at the Virginia City Inn in earlier years, here into 2024 it was sad to discover the motel in decline.

While the value of modest prices of this motel used to reflect clean, fresh and nicely appointed rooms, today the room appearance, fixtures, furniture and carpets appear dusty, faded and worn, and bathroom sink and shower basically clean - but well worn and aged. The mattress felt like it may be as much as a decade old, or older.

It’s still an excellent location with great parking and a nice staff - but it appears that perhaps there’s been an ownership change and the current owner may be deferring maintenance and not investing income back into keeping the property at its former best.

The modest price becomes less attractive when discovering that the Virginia City Inn is increasingly relying on only its location. 🙁

Location is great, right on the edge of town, so you can walk anywhere in Virginia City. The view from the back of the hotel with the grassy area is fantastic, with the tree swing, very nice. Room was mostly clean, bed was a bit soft and old, but large. We liked that there was a refrigerator and microwave. No closet to hang clothes though, and no end tables for the bed. Bathroom had a moldy shower curtain and some areas that were not cleaned before our arrival. Staff was very nice ! would stay there again.

we stayed here on our way home from a trip to oregon. It was easy to find even in the windy rain. The room was clean & had 2 comfy beds. The view outside our window was nice. There was a nice grassy area in the back to walk our dog. Easy to unload / load to your door. No breakfast provided but we went in to Carson city for a good breakfast on our way out. The rain did turn into snow flurries so we did not go out for dinner due to the weather. Otherwise , we might have walked around a bit. we would stay again if in the area.

We have stayed here the last few years. This place is perfect location for street vibrations. Good price and maintained. Sad that they changed the way they book the rooms so I had to find somewhere else to stay now. We go every year and my buddy has went the last 10yrs. He will also find a different place to stay. Sad but it’s our yearly ritual to come to Virginia city for the rally. What started as 1 room has turned into 4 rooms. Next year is 6 so their loss. But great place to stay and the owner Dave is great as well.

Loved this spot! Great price. Just away from everything to be peaceful but a short walk to the fun! Would def recommend!

Fun stop along our road trip on the loneliest highway in America. Friendly staff at front desk, bar and restaurant and all were super dog-friendly too!. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Rooms and property overall is a little dated but well maintained. Appreciated the welcome drinks coupons and the free breakfast at Dennys too.
