What a treat!
As a local, I can’t believe I’ve lived here for years and have never tried this. I did the Cave Rock tour. Neila was our tour guide and she was fantastic- upbeat, friendly and very knowledgeable. She was great at making sure beginners felt comfortable on their kayaks. We also got some great pics!
The tour includes some light snacks and water, which is very considerate. And the groups are small. Definitely worth the money- it’s the perfect way to spend a few hours in Tahoe!

I see a lot of great reviews for this company and their various tours, but I myself give tours for a living, I’m a certified interpretive guide and the logistics for this tour were not great. I took the scenic shoreline tour in Zephyr Cove and had a tour guide named Chris. I’ll start off by saying that overall, Lake Tahoe is beautiful and being able to see the rocks underneath your kayak is an amazing experience. You can’t not have fun on this tour considering how gorgeous the place is. Chris has a great tour personality, I could tell he really enjoyed sharing about the dance floor and Tahoe Tessie which as a visitor is so fun to hear about. However, the logistics need to be greatly improved. When you take a group to a stop, as a guide you need to wait for your group to catch up before you start sharing information. “I’ll wait for the group to catch up before getting started” is all you need to say. This would also give folks a break and time to relax while not paddling and enjoy the scenery. Chris talked as he kayaked and as a result, the people who were struggling to catch up couldn’t hear a single thing he said. This tour costs over $200 and I would have liked to hear everything that was shared about the lake. I wasn’t the last kayak in the group, but the kayak who was, was very far behind and Chris just kept on kayaking and did not wait for them. When pointing things out like the lady of the lake, he ambiguously pointed to things making it unclear what he was pointing out. We’re in a lake surrounded by trees and mountains, trying to show something simply by pointing isn’t going to work especially when your group is scattered around you. This is where waiting for your group to catch up before pointing to random landmarks is important. I ended up googling the lady of the lake after and it’s not what he was pointing to. A waterproof mic pack is a necessary item for your guides if you aren’t going to wait for the group to catch up as you speak. Your voice needs to be amplified so people can hear what you’re sharing. If you’ve never kayaked before or are not a strong kayaker, you’ll spend a good amount of time trying to catch up and get a hang of the kayaking technique and miss out on neat information about the lake. It’s unfair for the amount you pay. Additionally, Chris spent about half the time giving out recommendations for things to do and see in the area but that’s something you do at the very end as you’re wrapping up, it shouldn’t be a part of the program you pay for. The allotted tour time should focus on information regarding the lake and the surrounding area. The lack of logistics is made up for with the scenery and clear kayak. I don’t know if these logistics differ from guide to guide, but with Chris’ setup, it was better suited for people who could keep up and were able to hear what he was sharing.

I did the Zephyr Cove kayaking tour with my brother on 10/7/24 and Josh was our guide. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The lake was gorgeous and I felt the amount of rowing was perfect for any kayaker regardless of experience. Josh was super funny and informative. He was able to answer literally any question you gave him. He also took amazing pictures! Very well organized tour which felt very safe. Would definitely do this again with out of town guests.

This was an amazing experience! I would certainly go again. Our tour guide, Jason was very knowledgeable about the area and had a ton of interesting information about Lake Tahoe. He took pictures of us and was super friendly.

Amazing experience! We took the 0645 tour and it was extremely beautiful, especially with a rare double rainbow! Our guide, Neila, was super knowledgeable and kind. She took photos of us and explained so much about Lake Tahoe during the experience. The clear kayaks are super cool, and our friend was able to bring along her dog (which they had an adorable shark life vest for)! We had a bit of rain but it made the experience even more fun!

Totally recommend taking this tour!

For the UNBEATABLE CLEARLY TAHOE EXPERIENCE schedule Kayaing in the morning and Mountain Biking in the afternoon.
We had FAB experience tooling around Lake Tahoe with Vega (hands down a phenomenal tour guide.. funny, snarky, hilarious, knowledgeable). The views were incredible and looking down through the boat into the water is really cool! REQUEST THE VEGA EXPERIENCE!
We had an AMAZING afternoon Mt Bike ride with Mylo to Lake Marlette. Wow.. this is so beautiful and enjoyable because the pedal assist makes the climb a breeze. Mylo was awesomeness and he took incredible photos of us. Make sure to ask him about his cat named Skunk.
Clearly Tahoe is GREAT AND ABSOLUTELY A REASON TO COME TO SOUTH LAKE TAHOE.. get out and do life with them!

What a great experience. I may get a Cpl crew names wrong 😑 lol 😂 Capt Debbie, Deck crew G,Brad and I think Denise. I have 2 total knee replacements. I told them about it when we first got there and they said don’t worry we’ll help you get in and out of the kayak. It actually was a smoother transition than I anticipated. The crew very informative as we floated around the lake about haunted stories and pointing out wildlife, I would highly recommend this for both families, girls trip, bachelor parties, etc. I took so many amazing pictures. Looking forward to using your company and my next trip out here.

I highly recommend doing this shoreline tour! A friend and I did this for my birthday today! Perfect weather no boats on the water at 9am! We had crystal clear glass water. The fools gold was neat to see too! Our guide Jason Was fantastic, funny and informative! Josh was also very helpful at the check in and recommended some wonderful hiking and spots to check out after our tour! October is the time to go!
