We had the best time here! Everything was super clean and there was so much to do at this cabin that we never wanted to leave! Jacuzzi, fire pit, grill, fully stocked kitchen and binoculars for star gazing at night from the jacuzzi were some of our favorite things! Super quiet and peaceful here, views of the water from every room, hammock for relaxing and so many near by hikes and activities! Our favorite was a visit to the Garden of the Gods which offered a quick hike with spectacular views!

Beautiful little piece of quite bliss. We stayed here for our 15th anniversary. It was an interesting forest drive around Illinois's only National Forest, Shawnee National Forest. We were here in the winter, and the drive was still relaxing to arrive here, with the company of our two cats. It's really, really difficult, kinda like a cat 😉 to find accommodations that are cat friendly. To discover such a beautiful A-frame, on a gorgeous, secluded property like this, that's friendly to feline furbabys at best is a rarity or doesn't exist. Ours are very well behaved for staying at a vaction rentals, and the host allowed them to come. The hottube alone is worth the booking. My husband and I have rated this #1 for being so clean and in such a perfect location for star gazing. The cabin was well decorated and very clean. Definitely worth a stay if your looking for a quiet relaxing stay, and there are plenty of wineries near by also!

We absolutely loved staying at the Blue Heron Cabin! It was so clean and nice and they provide you with everything you need in the cabin. You really only have to bring food if you plan on cooking. The communication was great, they have signs everywhere so you know how to operate things and they send you emails explaining everything. Allison was helpful and responded quickly to a question I had. It was so cozy and immediately felt like home. We loved the hot tub! It was such a relaxing weekend, we will definitely be back.

We did a quick girls weekend. The cabins are so cute and sit in the perfect location. It is beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. The night sky was my absolute favorite, so many stars 🤩. Loved the sunrises and being able to just sit by the fire and enjoy the wonderful company. Highly recommend you the Honker Hill wonders. Right up the road and they had great music.

Lovely place to stay! The cabin was very clean and cosy. The hot tub was also great. The owner's are also extremely accommodating and went out of their way to refund me for one night due to a snow storm and were very courteous. Can't recommend enough 🙂

The Wildflower cabin was perfect for a girls weekend trip! We loved our time in the cozy cabin and the bonfire for our evening chats. The hiking in the state parks and vineyards so close by made the weekend PERFECT and SO FUN!

Wish I could give this place more stars. Came here with my husband and 2 kids and loved it, the views at all times of the day and night are beautiful, so many stars! We loved the hot tub and fire pit, kids loved going down to the docks and petting the neighbors dog. Wildflower cabin and it was adorably decorated and cozy inside! We also went on several hikes nearby and had an overall amazing time. We would certainly come back many times if possible!

We had a great romantic getaway here for our anniversary! Loved the hot tub and the view of the sunrise! Was surprised to find that the cabin didn’t have an oven but we were able to pivot and use the charcoal grill to prepare the food that we’d brought with us.
