I can't say enough about our fantastic experience at our experience. Every member of the staff was helpful, friendly and had fantastic suggestions. I can't believe how affordable this place is. I almost don't want to ruin this secret spot.||The location was absolutely perfect. The property has gorgeous private creek access where you can have a glass of wine with no one else in sight, lush forest, and views of the beautiful canyon cliffs. The drive to the cabin on 89A was stunning, the cabin was only a couple minutes drive from a modern restaurant where you can get a craft cocktail and very good food and it was only 10-15 minutes to downtown Sedona. Also it was only a short drive from the Weft Fork Trail (voted the 3rd best hike in the country)! There was a coffee shop on site that I would put up against any trendy place in a big city. You could find delicious typical drinks black coffee, hot chocolate, chai, cappuccinos, and barista-designed drinks that you won't find anywhere else. The coffee shop's market had lots of convenient items like alcohol, snacks, and basic toiletries so you wouldn't have to drive into town if you forgot something... TRY THE COOKIES! Also, there is a very cool business center if you need good WIFI.||Our historic log cabin was from the 1920s and was comfortable and provided the perfect balance between a rustic forest experience and a relaxing, cozy vacation spot. It had a kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, and grill outside, and the bed was comfortable and clean. The staff had plenty of fun board games to choose from. We were far enough from the other cabins that we hardly noticed them. Also, there was a well-maintained volleyball/badminton court on the property that was very fun!||If you're looking for a great weekend escape from the Phoenix heat, are visiting Sedona, and want an affordable, nearby cabin that will steal the show, or just want a quiet picture-perfect destination to have a glass of wine by the river and decompress... this place is it!

The employee who is there 24/7 on the grounds should be commended for excellence! The nicest most accommodating service he provided is something to write about! I hope the company acknowledges great employees because he made all the difference in the world! It was very nice in general but he just made it excellent! A place I would recommend highly with this type of service and hospitality! Everyone there was very nice! Something you hardly ever see anymore!

It was such a nice cabin. Everything was clean and the bedrooms large, the kitchen was good and the bathroom quite adequate. The host was wonderful and accommodating. The atmosphere was peaceful and the creek just across the road was private. Nice spots to sit with tables and chairs and great fishing. Will be back and will tell everyone to come visit
Close to Slide Rock and Uptown Sedona. Good place for kids and pets

So nice and special. Right off the road but not too noisy. It would be a great place to get away for a few days with just yourself or someone special.

Enjoyed the walking distance from our rental to get our coffee. Boys where able to get their vittles and walk across the street and fish. The barista was always smiling and call us by name by the 3rd day. He was so patient and makes a mean cappuccino!! I always remembered it as The Butterfly Inn that our family used to go to often. Same service and quality, which is unmatched! Thanks again for the memories.

There are newer and more comfortable cabins in Oak Creek, but the outstanding service and coffee and pastries, as well as the 5 minute walking access to the creek is so worth it. Prices are fair and Sean (manager) is accommodating of any customer need or request. Shout out to Trey (barista+) too. Very professional and kind. I highly recommend. Don Hoel"s Cabins and Coffee Shop. Will book again.

Not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews. My husband and I stayed here as a part of our babymoon trip to AZ. Our experience was terrible for the following reasons, and we STRONGLY advise against booking with this resort until they get a few things figured out. ||1. Our cabin was not clean. When we first arrived, we spent our first hour killing the flies that were found in every room of the cabin. We each killed about 10 flies, but there were easily 10 more. They loved the bathroom, landing on us while trying to nap on the bed, and were extremely difficult to get rid of. We alerted the on-site staff to this problem 7am the next morning, and they promised to install a fly-zapping bulb by the end of the day. They did not. We also needed more towels after our second night, and let them know in the morning. They promised to refresh our dirty towels. They did not. So we were unable to shower after our second night, and we had to trap all the flies in the bathroom where they were absolutely disgusting to be around. ||2. Our cabin was not comfortable. The window shades are too large for the windows, they are broken and don’t close manually. The bedroom door is missing the top hinge. Whenever using the stove/oven/gas heater the entire cabin would reek of gas and we had to open all the screened windows. The bedsheets were very scratchy and cheap, and the pillows were the farthest thing from comfortable. We didn’t sleep well a single night of our stay. ||The biggest overriding issue is that we alerted the staff to the things they could quickly and easily fix, they promised to fix them, and completely failed to follow through. We emailed the owners, and never heard back. Please save yourself money, and avoid a truly unenjoyable experience by staying literally ANYWHERE else.
