Sandy is sweetheart and was very helpful John is a Advent boat marina owner he knows his stuff and the place is a hidden gem especially if you have a large bowl and usually dock on Lake Michigan! Thanks sandy and John for the great service and the wonderful hospitality over the years my father was always a big fan god rest his soul! This place is the best place to bring ur boat in the tri state area probably in the US but I can only speak for illinois!

I was moving my boat to Florida. So I asked Preformance Marina To prepare my boat for transport to fla. By Removing the fly bridge and the props. They assured me they would take pictures of the disassembly, before work was done. And to give me a price "before" the work was started.
They failed to notify me of the charges, and called me a week later and said, Oh! by the way you owe us $2800. They charged me 28 hrs labour 100 per hr. Which is no problem. except the job is a 8 hr job at best. No writtin receipt for hrs and materials. Nothing but "By the way"!
I paid the bill and asked John the owner for the pics. He said he didnt have them. Neither did there mechanic Robby. They avoided me completely.
And his wife apparently is there spoke person. They trashed my boat just throwing everything in the boat cabin, and neither one of them had the presence of mind to do the job they were paid for.
I will post on fb when I'm done. I was there 8 yrs always paid my bill. And this is what I get.
I tried to speak with Sandy, but she blocked me on messenger and she stated it was my problem that my boat and others were broken into because I made it attractive to thieves. By improving her dock new carpet new paint.
There are no fences no security cameras. Otherwise they would see unauthorized people on the property. And catch anyone not authorized on property.
She was very rude and condescending. And said she should have charged me another 1g thousand to load the boat.
I originally asked because of the large amount of the bill, could I give you $2000. Up front and 800.00 the following month? In light of the fact I never missed paying my bill in 8 yrs. There response was the boat stays till the bill was paid in full. I did not argue and I paid in full.
I feel I have been treated with disrespect and discourteous behavior. For someone who was a long time cliant. And I didnt deserve this.
