Our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites property on Towanda for the most part was tolerable. I have contacted the front desk the day before we arrived and the person ensured us that the elevators work, the pool was open, and the hot tub was working. When we arrived, we learned that the hot tub was inoperable and an employeee Jon or Joe mentioned that the hot tub had been down for awhile. We had issues with the Toilet roll holder breaking, along with the towel rack outside. The main issue we had was my daughter and her friend staying in a room with the other cheer team. The door would not shut or open without extreme force, which is a safety hazard, so they could not safely lock the door. The girls are underage, and the manager on duty said, "There's nothing we can do about it." The manager on duty's lack of empathy, appeared like he did not care, nor want to take responsibility in resolving this issue. However the other person(I think his name is either Jon or Joe) took the time to look for another room that can safely be locked, with an issue of the toilet running. This employee went above and beyond to ensure that the girls were able to be safe. Once this was taken care of, the manager on duty made sure he took responsibility for this, which I know that Jon or Joe is the one who went out of his way. Kudos to this person for ensuring the safety of the girls. He deserves the real credit for being an outstanding employee.

We were warmly greeted by “Meredith” which really made our night after a long drive. The room was clean & spotless. The bed was super comfy & we sleep like a baby.

The rooms could use a face lift. The service was spot on. Perfect location for us.
They needed help with keeping the breakfast area clean(or just clean up after yourself).
Good workout facility. There is a pool but we didn't use it. Maybe next time.

Hotel needs updated. Beds are old and hard. No hot water. Barely any water pressure in shower. Heater extremely loud, doesn't really heat the room. Clicks loudly and turns off and on repeatedly without heating the room. Will not stay here again

Convenient location and friendly staff, but as many others note the rooms and facilities are simply dated, needing maintenance and unacceptable. It may once have been a three star but I'd rather stay at a newer two star.

Updated after the morning. Almost no pressure at the shower. Not like eco flow, such low flow that the shower head barely functioned. Would never go back here if this is how they maintain any room.

This is a convenient location and the staff is friendly, but this place needs to be updated, or at least deep cleaned. We frequently stay at Hampton Inn when we travel, but this location does not live up to the Hampton name for the furnishings or cleanliness. The staff tries with what they have, but this place needs some love from the owner.

Carpets and furnishings are stained and sticky. The only floors we didn’t stick to were the tiled areas. The carpets and seating in the breakfast area are also stained and make you question the cleanliness.

The staff was friendly and appreciative of the concerns we expressed. They are doing the best with what they have. This is the fault of the owner.

I don’t usually do this, but we were so miserable walking up five flights of stairs during our stay. Elevators were out, pool was closed, my digital key didn’t work, shower had mold, wallpaper peeling in the main breakfast/lobby area. Staff not empowered to do anything while management was unavailable. Don’t stay here. Staff was nice and the breakfast was usually decent, so two stars.

Very confusing to get back to the hotel. Lots of main roads around it so you might have to circle the hotel if you miss the exit. Room was pretty comfy. I ended up in a king accessible room so had some other odd features in the room. Bed was very low to the ground or low to the box spring so hard to get comfy at night. Breakfast in the morning was okay. Nice that it was different varsities every morning. Pool was awesome, deep area and super warm. Felt like a giant hot tub. Hot tub was burning hot, temp said it was about 140°. Hot tub also smelt really bad water smelt gross. Probably might not stay here again. A lot better options in the area.
