Had the first sunset dolphin cruise of the season! Captain Don was a great guide and a trooper to take us out in the cold of early March 🥶. He made sure we saw the beautiful sunset and he was very nice and conversational. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back and go on a guided fishing cruise.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Don! He was great with our 2 young boys (3 and 5). He helped them cast out and was very patient when our 5 year old had a “huge bite” every few minutes and reeled in his line a million times. If we come back to Gulf Shores next year, we will definitely come back to fish with Captain Don!

My party of 6 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and my 10 year old twins) enjoyed a 3 hour in shore fishing charter with Captain Danny. Everyone caught several catfish and one white trout. Danny took to time to let us enjoy quite a few dolphin sightings as well. He was kind, laid back, extremely helpful and patient with or entire crew. I’m addition, the bits of knowledge he shared about the area and fishing spots were much appreciated. It was a successful evening of fishing and time enjoyed with family. Captain Don did a great job finding fish for us and was awesome with kids. I would absolutely recommend this trip with or without kids, but if you want kid friendly, then it’s perfect. Everyone caught a fish, and I would book again with him any day.

Our family of 5 did the 3 Hour Family/Kids Inshore Fishing charter. The booking process was seamless using the tool on the website. Reminders were sent to my email with all of the information needed to prepare for our trip.

You will board the boat at Bear Point Harbor. This is a pretty cool area with lots of different charters and excursions taking off from the docks. I would recommend arriving a few minutes early to take it all in.

The charter itself was pretty good. We set out and found a few fishing spots where we wet our line for 15-ish minutes. After a period of inactivity, we would try somewhere new. If your primary goal is to catch fish, this would be a 1-star adventure. 4 of us fished and we only had 1 fish in the boat. That was kind of a bummer. We also caught a stingray (that was cut off the line) and a crab that we just didn't get in the boat. For us, the adults both caught something and our kids got skunked.

For us, this was more than JUST the fishing though. It was nice to spend the day on the water and see some places that we hadn't already experienced. We had a few light rain showers, but those didn't detract as they kept us cool during the trip.

I give the charter itself 3 stars and added another because we had a good time chatting with the Captain.

We were blessed to spend an afternoon of our family vacation with Captain Don for a kids fishing tour. Captain Don is a sweet and knowledgeable captain. We arrived 10 minutes early and Captain Don was already there, ready to greet us. He was patient with all of our kids, especially the youngest one that protested the life jacket most of the time we were anchored. He had answers for all our questions. His boat was super clean and well equipped for safety and fishing. I need excellent music when I'm on a boat and Captain Don's music choice did not disappoint. It was such a fun trip and we will definitely be repeat customers! Thanks, Captain Don!
