My wife & I flew direct from Pittsburgh on Monday February 24, 2025 to Key West & for $18 arrived at the Pegasus without incident which is nearly on Duval St. An older, established hotel but very clean & well maintained. The staff was great, polite, professional & accommodating. The rooms can be small but come with a fridge, a microwave & a coffee pot. Plenty of hot water & a comfy bed. The pool & the hot tub are on the roof! Very cool! If you want the classic, sexy, Duval, sometimes loud Key West Hotel experience, then Pegasus is the place to stay! We did not have any bad neighbors, no loud noise, no loud bands & no disappointments. The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations & we were able to walk all of Duvall from the Hotel. Clean showers, clean bedding, working AC, staff always on the premise cleaning the pool, hot tub, rooms, etc. We loved the place. It is not a Hilton. It is an older Key West Hotel. Enjoy the ambience! 5 stars my Ohio friends!

Do not stay here. It's an old...run-down motel that features a 60....65 % broken rate. Everything is old, cracked, dirty, crusty and loose or rusted.
The grout in the bathroom is supposed to be taupe. It's was black with dirt ans mold. Not brown....BLACK.
Save your money and find a real HOTEL....not a $69 motel room being sold for $550.
A rip-off. Stay away.
Great location though....it's the only thing good about the place.
No management around....ever.
No owner around....ever.
They hide behind the computer, phone and the day and night clerks.
Once again.....GREAT LOCATION....HORRIBLY dirty, old, crappy motel.

The hotel is in a great location and that's about it!|I don't know if management ever checks the cleanliness of the rooms.|The bathroom was filthy and is in desperate need of scrubbing the tiles and floors.|The soap dispenser are gunky and the soap dispenser holders are rusty and about to fall of the wall. The mattresses are screaming when you turn over.|The breakfast area was dreadfully untidy. ||All together I definitely can NOT recommend this place.

Pegasus Hotel, Key West: A Unique Stay with a Mixed Experience||||During our recent vacation, we had the opportunity to stay at Pegasus Hotel in Key West. From the outside, the hotel presents itself as a typical small city establishment. As we entered through the main door from the bustling street, it almost felt like stepping into a small retail shop for a moment. The hotel appears to be housed in a heritage building, situated in a fantastic location where the lively energy of the city continues until the early hours of the morning.||||Upon entering, we were greeted by a small but tidy reception area. However, our initial interaction left much to be desired. We were met by Lyuba, an individual whose demeanor was strikingly cold and unfriendly—almost as if we had encountered a prison guard rather than a hotel receptionist. Without any hint of a smile or a warm greeting, she curtly asked if we had a reservation. This unexpected and off-putting first impression certainly had us bracing for the worst as we made our way to our room.||||To our pleasant surprise, the room exceeded our expectations. It was immaculately clean, with a lovely view overlooking the street. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the linens were fresh, accompanied by a comfortable bed and clean towels. The only downside was the small bathroom, where the shower cubicle’s size caused water to splash out—a minor inconvenience, but worth noting.||||As we headed out to explore the town, our perception of the hotel shifted once again when we encountered Natalia at the reception. Natalia is truly a breath of fresh air. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality transformed our experience. She went above and beyond, sharing details about the hotel’s amenities and taking the time to discuss Key West’s dining scene. She even highlighted her favorite restaurants in a dining guide she provided, all while expressing her pride in having worked at Pegasus for nearly a decade. It’s rare to meet someone like Natalia—her passion for her work and her care for guests are exactly what make travelers want to return.||||While our stay at Pegasus was a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of service, Natalia’s kindness and professionalism were the highlight. We hope that when we return, we’ll once again be welcomed by her warmth. As for Lyuba, perhaps her talents would be better suited elsewhere.||||.

It was a quaint little hotel but we could not get more than an 1 hr of sleep. There was a lady singing from 12 midnight to 5 am every night. Horrible!!!! Don't book there if you want zero sleep.. sign on door says heated pool.. it was not heated.

Main street motel for gater hunters and truck drivers needing place to sleep after benders in the local watering holes. The only thing interesting about this place is the friendly eccentric receptionist. Checked out after the first night to get some rest in an actual hotel.

Not much to say except the place needs a major renovation. This is an old hotel with lots of "character". The shower was nice but couldn't get hot water and there was mold in it. The bathroom is super tiny. There were no dressers in the rooms but shelves in a cabinet. I thought that was odd. There is a fridge and microwave. The TV only turned on by the button on the TV and this was only after I called maintenance. The pool area was ok, but the water temperature was warmer than bath water. The breakfast was just ok. Cold cereal, mini bagels and mini muffins, bread and a toaster, coffee, juice and milk. The location was great.
