As a frequent DIY traveler, I typically prefer to design my trips to avoid the "tourist package" experience. This August, I joined Lugos Travel for a journey through Peru, visiting Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and the Nazca Lines. For someone who usually shuns organized travel, this struck the perfect balance.

Engaging with Local Culture - Lugos Travel didn’t just deliver me to destinations; they connected me with the soul of Peru. I met artisans in hidden villages, enjoyed meals with locals who shared the stories of their ancestors, and felt the pulse of daily life in ways that reminded me why I love travel. We recently used Shane and his company for our 10-day trip to Greece in June 2024. Initially, another agency had planned our trip, but it lacked a personalized touch and customized experiences. Shane from Lugos arranged a very memorable vacation to southern France and northern Italy for our 40th anniversary. He made us feel like royalty with his choices of hotels, guides, and drivers. I had a Honey Moon trip planned and executed by Lugos to Italy on very short notice. They planned the trip and it was outstanding. Limo pickup at the house to the airport, Hotels, drivers, and guides set up everyday. Guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and always right on time. For our first trip to Europe, we used Lugos to completely handle one week of travel through Italy and on the second week, they provided several shore excursions from our cruise ship. It could not have gone better! They delivered everything as promised. Transportation was on time and pleasant, the hotels were unique and beautiful and the excursions were incredible taking us to secluded ,non-touristy places we never would have found on our own. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and well spoken. The app is robust and extremely helpful. Their pricing is reasonable and Shane and his employees are delightful to deal with.
