If you’re visiting Ocala, you have so many areas, springs and parks to visit. One stop is definitely Silver Springs State Park and make sure to take a tour on the water in the Glass Bottom boat excursion!

This is my second time on the boat, both times with family who had not visited previously. Safe, entertaining, educational tour of the river, springs and nature area. You have the option of a 30 minute tour or a 90 minute (takes you farther down the river and more areas to see).

For those who don’t swim, snorkel or dive, here is your chance to see what’s under the water. The water is SOOO crystal clear…. unbelievable. And this means, you can see clearly everything and anything in the water. Amazing! Check out the 3 manatees we saw….you could almost “reach out and touch.” But DON’T….not legal.

It's a great place to spend time for a fantastic experience. It is one of the best places to see the best of Florida. We rented Kayaks and had an easy round trip full of wonderful sights. You may see wild monkeys, manatees, and gators. Lots of various birds. You can take your own kayaks and launch there for a small fee. Go down the river a few miles, and they will pick you up and bring you back. I highly recommend it.

A day well spent. Good for family outing and picnic. Beautiful glass botom tour with elaborative guidance and beautiful scenery. Plenty of parking. Worthy of driving 1.5hrs. Would recommend everyone.

My first time going here was in the late 1960's as a child with my family. This time February 2025 as an adult, ok a senior. We went with friends and had a perfect day. The weather was cooler, but the sun shined bright. Our tour woman was great, funny and informative. We took the extended glass boat ride and saw many different birds and fish, alligators and manatees. We even saw a couple of baby manatees. The park has way too many kayaks, they were everywhere. Even the tour guide mentioned that there should only be a limited amount to visit per day. It's a beautiful area that should be preserved and not overrun by humans.

It was nice to walk around the boardwalk and watch the kayakers. We didn’t book in advance for the glass bottom boat, and it was full. Next time we will reserve ahead of time. We even could see the monkeys from the boardwalk. They were quite entertaining to watch.

Took my mom here for her 85th birthday, and it was fabulous!! Such a beautiful day to match the beautiful scenery. Giant trees, flowing clear water, and peaceful atmosphere. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in town.

Went on the glass bottom boat trip. Was a great time. Kids had a great time running around the state park and exploring. Glass bottom boat ride was fun and the boat captain was entertaining. He did a great job of getting us pictures ND tells us what we were looking at. Would 100% go again.
