Absolutely terrible. Applied for assistance over a month ago. I have called, left voice mails and emails still no response from my worker. Every time I ask to speak with someone they say she is working from home and they will transfer me to her then when they do the system asks for an extension. I have never in my life experienced anything like this. It’s terrible.

I do not have much experience with Social Services, but I can tell you that LATORIA WALSTON is an asset to this facility! She actually cares about the people she is trying to help. She was understanding, polite, patient, caring & really puts her all into helping people. It was such a pleasure working with her. If I ever have to come back, I hope she is still there.

Wish I could leave less then 1 star being the woman I spoke to laughed at me when I said I was going to starve to death without my foodstamps. Great people you got working there

The people at this facility did their civil duty and beyond. They showed compassion and gave reassurance in a tough time. My heart has been touched by their kindness and how much they went over and beyond for my family and myself giving me resources I can use and people I can turn to. I am so very thankful.

The case workers and receptionists were all very kind, courteous & informative, even the janitorial worker was nice! A person got incredibly wild, loud, and rude while I was present and I felt the worker handled it very polite and professionally.

Better off going to Georgetown Social Services. It may be getting better but they won't tell you what you do qualify for, they will denigh you if you ask for the wrong program. Such as. If you are pregnant you MUST ask for medicaide for pregnant women. Don't just ask for medicaide. They won't tell you that but I will. Many things are available but if you don't know they won't tell. 😢 Sad.

This is the best social services office I have ever been to. They are so helpful and patient with everyone that comes in for help . They don't make you feel like you a bum or anything , just an everyday person who needs a little help 💖💖
