I traveled Tauck 7 times. Sometimes the tour was great other times not so good at all. The best trip was a week in Switzerland. The worst trip was called Bridges Alaska Tour. It was a disaster. I have asked Tauck to refund a partial fee due to several instances of very poor service,day events ,and food. They have not returned any payment. Tauck has refused to be accountable for the poor service provided on my Alaska Bridges Tour . It was very expensive as I took my children and grandchildren Tauck prides itself as a long history of family operated business but they operate as a mean cold hearted corporate American company . They lack heart and compassion. I would like to tell Arthur Tauck the details of my Alaska trip. Tauck needs to wake up and return to its core mission. They failed badly on Alaska for the Fogel Family. It cost me a ,lot of hard work to pay for that trip. The Fogel Family deserves much better from Tauck.. I am willing to have a face to face conversation with Arthur Tauck. The real question is will a Tauck family member listen to how my family was treated? So much for the family propaganda from Tauck

First time that I decide to treat myself with the luxury agency. spent $45000 and even allowed them to get the business class tickets to avoid delays Bought the insurance. First disappointment...
They booked the flight with only 40 minutes time to change planes and we almost missed the second flight running ar the airport and we didn't get our luggage for two days including breathing machine not allowed on board.
While in Japan they sent us an email acknowledging the huge mistake and apologizing.
When we came back they REFUSED to refund and they offered a credit for the next trip AND 750 dollars!!!
I was asking just for the difference on the money they made booking our tickets and they even refused to do that.
The tour is missing the 2 most attractive things to do in Japan, the monkey park and the bamboo park... boring long dinner's ..drummer's classes ?
I will strongly recommend not to use them.

Parked illegally in a fire lane blocking traffic on a busy morning at Sam's club Rapid city, SD. No reason your smug driver should be in this spot!!!Absolutely no care for the general public, rules, safety for other what so ever!!!!! Not professional to believe you're above the rule of law, Absolutely pathetic
Next time I see this, I'll be calling local Authorities as it's a major fine to the company and driver here

Horrible business. I made a reservation in September for travel the following April 2025.
I called December 1st to cancel for medical reasons. I gave them a 2600 dollar deposit. They returned 900. It cost me 1700 dollars to make a phone call. What hurt most was that the women who recommended them said they returned her mom's full deposit. So No customer outreach at all. Stay away from them for your own sake.

My sister and I scheduled a river cruise for our parents with Tauck in December of 2019 for a cruise scheduled in Rhine River Cruise in August of 2020. Due to the pandemic, the cruise was cancelled and rescheduled for 2021, it was cancelled again and re-scheduled for 2022 and we can no longer make the trip to Europe for this 2 years later however Tauck will not refund the deposit despite the fact that they were the ones that cancelled the trip more than once. We completely understand why the original trip was cancelled, but not giving customers a refund is not right. This is not the type of company I would trust to take me or my parents on a cruise. I will happily update this review if they change their stance and do the right thing.

Sad to see a once good tour company stumble and fall into mediocrity. That’s Tauck post-Covid. My May 2023 tour of Normandy, Brittany and the Loire Valley was done on the cheap by Tauck, yet cost me thousands of dollars extra as a solo traveler on a special small-group tour. 

5-star hotels switched to 3 and 4 (without any compensation or explanation)… many more meals “on your own”… lots of “self-guided” tours of museums and chateaux and castles we knew nothing about… airline quality “rubber chicken” dinners, not in hotel restaurants, but in sad and isolated business convention spaces… poorly-trained newer Tour Directors (like the one on this tour) with limited experience traveling outside her tiny village or dealing with people from diverse backgrounds. She even confessed that this was a second gig job that took her away from her own business back home! You get what Tauck pays for, but unfortunately, not what YOU pay for.

Speaking to a “Guest Relations” agent was comically pointless. She parroted a well-rehearsed company line defending all Tauck’s decisions, and spinning any disappointment as my fault.

Please reconsider spending huge amounts of your hard-earned money on a tour company that has lost its way and no longer delivers.

Buyer beware. If Tauck cancels your trip they will keep around 10% of your money. In my case it was $1,398.

Tauck cancelled a Danube Christmas Market cruise for Dec 2021, though Lufthansa was still flying and we wanted to go. We could not rebook the same trip for next year because all spots were taken. Tauck had sold them all out before they cancelled us. Tauck tried to force us on a different trip on different dates that we could not do.

Tauck does not answer emails and their customer service rep Courtney was curt and horrible.

Perhaps this company was decent once but not since Covid. They are an example of a company acting very, very badly.

Tauck offered no product to me (they are the ones who cancelled) so how is it legal or ethical for them to keep $1,398?

This company use to be stellar! We have taken trips with them a few times and have recommended them to all our friends and family. NEVER again! Our trip has been canceled by TAUCK and they are NOT refunding the money. Greedy!!!!
