Pleasant drive through the forest. The single track road was relatively well maintained, but lots of loose gravel and pot holes (to be expected). Ideal picnic spot at Otters Pool, where children were happily climbing over the stones across the river. Stroan Loch was very scenic. Plenty of parking areas if you wanted to stop and take a hike along the route.

Really recommend, there are two stay the night car parks at either end of the road or wild camping throughout as seen with other tourists. 5/5

Started what was almost like a forestry road, but once on it, it becomes a magical adventure. Stop by the loch or by the river it’s quiet lots of parking and the scenery is beautiful.

Awesome warm season forest drive (closed Oct - May) plenty of places to stop with a variety of different areas to look at. Public toilets at the otter pools (roughly Β½ way) are clean and there are plenty of walking routes to explore through the forest.

Lovely drive, definitely keep windows up on an evening lol lots of little flys get in your car. We did want to take some pictures but where we needed to stop there was people parked and camping with fires right next to the water points so unfortunately couldn't.
