Thank you Kervin planning such an outstanding experience for us.
Our trip to Japan, organized by you and your team, is a highlight in our travelling experiences.
Although not entirely in your control, we were struck by the generosity of the Japanese people. Everyone (from the guides and hotel staff, to subway/train users, and shop keepers) was exceptionally helpful, courteous and kind. As a tourist, it was nice to feel welcomed rather than “targeted”.
We loved exploring the sites we selected together: the shrines, the fish markets, the gardens, the castles, pavilions and samouraï houses.
We ate so many exquisite dishes - especially during the Kaiseki dinner at the charming ryokan in Takayama.
The mix of frenetic, urban Tokyo and Osaka with Takayama’s contemplative vibe and the beauty of historic Kyoto, created a perfect blend of culture, connection, and memories. The bike ride along the shores of Lake Biwa and eating lunch in a family home was the most unique thing we have experienced on any vacation.

Kervin did a fantastic job planning and coordinating a trip to Thailand with my wife. We were able to customize the itinerary provided to have the experiences we wanted, and he was patient and thorough while responding to our questions. There was also an option to partake in white water rafting between two of our destinations which was one of our favorite parts of the trip.

Just completed a fantastic 11 day trip with my 13 year old son. Kervin of Explorient crafted a totally custom trip for us and everything went great. From an epic climb of Mt. We worked with Kervin at Explorient for our honeymoon trip to Japan and had the most amazing time. We visited Tokyo, Takayama, Gero, and Kyoto during the course of 10 days and everything was taken care of and planned out so that we could enjoy ourselves to the fullest. When we arrived we were picked up at the airport and taken directly to our hotel followed by almost each day having a private tour guide taking us to the most notable historical landmarks. This being our first trip to Japan, we were fortunate to see all of the highlights of the areas we visited and were able to get a better idea of what we would want for a future trip back to Japan. Kervin Yu of Explorient Travel Services organized for us a 7-day, 6-night private tour of Takayama and Kyoto in Japan. The accommodations were wonderful, especially the Hidatei Hanaougi ryokan in Takayama where we had a private garden with an onsen right outside our room, and a private dining room where we were served an amazing assortment of local dishes in an elegant and tranquil setting. We had a different guide each day, every one of them knowledgeable and with a different perspective, enlarging our understanding of Japan, its history, culture, and people. Kervin Yu and his partners in Japan attended to all the details, including tickets for public transportation -- subways, buses, and express trains -- which was one of the most eye-opening experience of our trip, given the overall efficiency, cleanliness, and politeness of the public system. We also walked a lot; one day we clocked 7.1 miles visiting shrines and temples, historical sites, and enjoying the local cuisine and sake. Our tour of Japan was not "touristy," and has left us with enduring impressions of the people and the culture. Overall, a fabulous experience, thanks to Kervin Yu and Explorient Travel.
