I was fortunate enough to join this group on their Partner Program trip to Spain in September 2019. The Partner Program is for a cyclist's partner who isn't interested in cycling the whole trip! The owners, Carolyn and Pieter were incredibly attentive and thorough giving me (and another 'partner') a variety of options for winery tours, hikes, museums, and other adventures. Carolyn then booked them for us, gave us instructions on exactly where we needed to go and what to do, and even handed us some snacks! It was like having "Julie the Cruise Director" right there with you! Overall, the organization of the trip was seamless, the locations chosen were epic, and the group was fun and easy to get along with. And note - I hate "tours." I don't like waiting in large groups, being on buses, and things taking way longer than they should. With Bike Plus Tours they keep the groups small and the schedule is adhered to so no one's time is wasted. They also have dinners planned as part of the tour so you don't have to agree with anyone about "what's for dinner." Whew.

One day I decided I did want to ride Costa Brava but I didn't really train on a bike for this trip. So, they arranged for me to get an ebike so I could join the group for the roads along the stunning Spanish coast. A true highlight of the trip. We also got to experience a Via Ferrata course in Ribes de Freser, which I LOVED! Girona tour with Game of Thrones highlights - sign me up!! And how about the Salvadore Dali museum? Yes!

We had the best biking experience with Bikeplus Tours on the Maratona and Stelvio edition. We like to play hard on the bikes, and have a great time during and after. Carolyn and Pieters tour exceeded all of our expectations. Challenging world class cycling routes, Excellent accommodations, and a great support staff. Not sure what else you could ask for on a European Cycling vacation. Maybe some spare legs so I could ride farther! Can't wait to do it again! Thanks for a great vacation and cycling experience!

This was my first Bike Plus Tour, but it’s hopefully the first of many. Carolyn and Pieter did an excellent job with this cycling adventure – everything was first class. Their advice and communication pre-trip helped make sure I was ready and that I had everything I needed. The hotel accommodations and food were great; on road support was always close by with food, water and encouraging words; and the Bike Plus Tours staff and other riders were enjoyable post-ride company. All the routes were challenging, beautifully scenic, and thoroughly researched and pre-briefed each day. The “Gran Fondo Maratona dles Dolomites – Enel” was incredible – a must for every road cyclist. Can’t wait for the next opportunity to ride with them.

I've done a BikePlusTours ride every year since Pieter started doing European rides in 2002. Highly recommended! If you're not super fast, don't worry, someone has to be last and it doesn't always have to be me.
