This was adventure travel at its best. Amazing is an overused expression that actually fits this experience. Great location. Whale interaction exceeded expectations and the Birding was a thumbs-up bonus. Keith is knowledgeable, supportive and unbelievably responsive. The Staff is outstanding and the Volunteers enhanced our experience immeasurably. We’ll be back.

Amazing, Spectacular, Phenomenal!!!! It is almost impossible to describe our experience while on the Baja Jones Whale Watching Adventure. This whale watching is unlike any experience anywhere else in the world with the opportunity to pet or touch a gray whale in their natural habitat. Our accommodations during this eco-tour were comfortable, the food was delicious and we were treated like family by the friendly knowledgeable staff. Keith Jones, our host and a gray whale advocate, provided a wealth of information about the whales and the area. Each experience on the water was spectacular! Our trip included gray whales at the Pacific Coast camp and blue whales on the Sea of Cortez (also, humpback whales, orcas and dolphins). The world’s largest whales and the world’s friendliest whales all during one adventure. The highlight of our trip was the up close and personal encounters with the gray whales. The whales actually approached the boats which provided many opportunities to pet them and their babies! If you are seeking a once-in-a-lifetime trip this is it!

Whale watching, up close and personal, in remote Baja Mexico deserves a place on everyone's bucket list. Communing with intelligent giants of the sea reminded us that we are part of this natural world. As an experienced guide, Baja Jones provides the perfect mix of rustic adventure and coddling. With splendid meals and daily guided boat rides, we felt taken care of. Thanks for the awesome experience!

My husband and I so looked forward to this trip and remained excited through the end of our first full day there. It is truly a pristine place and the whales are magnificent. My hus band and I both got sick that 2nd night, so we missed out on our whale sighting trip the next day, was it the food? Quite possibly. Then it began to rain so no more whale watching trips.We spent way too much time in a tent that leaked while Sylvester the handy man worked overtime to try and build a dam around our tent, finally they moved us to high ground. Again the food was definitely NOT gourmet. It was so miserable there that half our group moved in to town to a hotel with a restaurant and $4.00 bottles of wine. By the way before embarking upon this adventure we assured that almost never rains there. The rain was a big disappointment but the lack of concern for our wellbeing and our monies ill spent without even an apology leaves me with such a bad feeling about this company. Had anyone bothered to check the weather for the week and then given us the opportunity to postpone our trip for another time.
Do your research well there are more whale adventures farther, south check them out.
