Wonderful experience in Kilimanjaro National park, we travelled from Singapore to Kili for the expedition as first timer about 5000m.

Summit Climb has been very well organised and clear from the start:
- level of fitness
- expe briefing, packing, Vise, insurance
- suggested preparation and material check prior and on site.
- rental of sleeping bag (clean / warm/ timely)

During the expedition:
- Camp: the porters and guide were friendly, well led and ensured our stay was as comfortable tent, mat, tables and chairs.
- Food: as possible with varied food, accommodative various needs (one person was lactose intoletant)
- Hike: guide and briefing for the daily hike: we were led to be and live in the moment, slow down to acclimatise properly and manage our energy to come down not just summit. In swhaheli- it is said pole pole. However there were several guide so that the skilled hiker or the slower one could be supported regarding of their pace.
- Route : we took Rongai route and were blessed with nearly deserted and prends environnement. See attached picture.
- Safety/ health: everyone had insurance, she provide a clear boundary to summit on oxygen level from the get go, perform daily checks qualitative and quantitative with oxymeter. Has always plan B and C in mind when things occurs. As an example on day 3 I had altitude sickness and she allowed me to rest instead on the acclimation walk and rehydrate and I was able to resume and succeeed with her encouragement.

Kudos to Mag, our leader for sharing her passion for high altitude and generous heart. A life changing experience which we all celebrated! Looking at the next expedition with summit climb.

I joined the Summit Climb Team on a trekking expedition to Kilimanjaro. It was my first trekking and camping experience and I could not have chosen a better company.
Firstly, the briefing ahead of the trip was superb. Clear description of what to expect day by day and a very useful list of what to pack. I followed the list nearly to the letter and it was spot on!
Secondly, the overall organisation of the event felt as ‘all inclusive’ camping. You hand over your expedition bag on day 1 and from then on, one of the porters ensures it travels with you. Every day you get to the camp, the tent is ready, the bag is inside it (with your fellow companion’s bag without fault), the food tent is ready with tea and coffee, hand washing station with hot water in front of it, and last but not least, the toilet tents await you as well. The food was better than I expected, the meals were fresh and tasty. Water bottles and hydration bladders were prepared for us as well.
The route was wonderful, we experienced a variety of terrain and it was not very busy which made it even better. I felt safe and at ease despite my limited experience. Even though we trekked as a group, you could follow your own pace and even stop for rest if needed. There were enough guides and support staff with us to make it happen. As a beginner you sometimes worry you will be the weak link of the group. Summit Climb Team took that worry away!
In the end, my journey finished at Kibo Camp a few hours before the summit push. My oxygen level dropped to a low point and the Expedition Leader took an executive decision to get me to a camp at a lower altitude to rest and recover. Even this unexpected activity was organised as if planned. Porters took care of the tent, food, water, and of course, my bag, one of the Guides made sure I arrived safely to the lower camp. The rest of the group summited as planned. I was grateful my safety and wellbeing was their priority.
Overall, this was one of the best adventures I have experienced, I would definitely do it again. Actually, I am already thinking about the next one with Summit Climb!

Ich habe die Klettertour auf den Mount Kenia Hauptgipfel gebucht. Es hat alles super funktioniert und wir standen bei top Bedingungen auf dem Batian. Das Team vor Ort war freundlich, gut organisiert und sehr erfahren. Am letzten Tag habe ich dann noch eine Mini-Safari durch den Nairobi-Nationalpark unternommen die ich nur empfehlen kann.
Die Kommunikation vorab könnte noch etwas besser werden aber ansonsten war alles perfekt!

Liebes SummitClimb Team, Lieber Felix,
vielen Dank für unseren perfekt organisierten Trip auf den Kilimandscharo. Die Wahl der Rongairoute war fantastisch, ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass wir die ersten vier Tage allein am Kibu unterwegs sind. Die Etappenzusammenstellung, Höhenmeter, Entfernung,… passten perfekt zur Gruppe. Der Akklimatisationstag am Mawenzi Tarn war der Schlüssel zum Erfolg unserer gesamten Gruppe. Toll das wir es alle 11 auf das Dach Afrikas geschafft haben. Ein riesengroßes Dankeschön auch an das Team vor Ort, besonders an Paul, meinen Porter, der mich am Gipfeltag immer wieder motivierte ?
Das größte Kompliment ist aber das meiner Frau zu Hause,Zitat: „Ich hatte zu keinem Zeitpunkt das Gefühl, dass etwas schief laufen könnte!“ und das bestätige ich für die gesamte Reise.

Zusammen mit Summitclimb habe ich meinen ersten 5000er, den Elbrus bestiegen.

Eigentlich war die Überschreitung von Norden geplant. Da das Wetter auf der Nordseite allerdings zu schlecht war, entschied sich unsere deutschsprachige Bergführerin dazu, erstmal über den Normalweg aufzusteigen.

Die Organisation, der Ablauf und das Team waren hervorragend. Man hatte die gesamte Zeit über das Gefühl, gut betreut zu werden und in sicheren Händen zu sein.

Wir haben den Gipfel bei schönstem Wetter erreicht und konnten dann glücklicherweise doch noch über die Nordseite absteigen.

Alles war professionell durchorganisiert.
Bei einer nächsten Expedition werde ich auf alle Fälle nochmals mit Summitclimb gehen.
