It's right on the Trinity River. You can fish from the back yard but it's catch and release in that area. The river has salmon as well as steelhead and trout. You can get a fishing license at the smokehouse store in Lewiston.
The room was very cozy and private, and the owner Jessica and her husband were very nice and helpful. The area is very quiet and peaceful. I must mention that there is no cell service so you will need to use wifi calling. The television is limited to Amazon firestick however all the apps are turned on so you get Hulu, etc. Not so bad. There's a market about 300 yards walk that has all you should need, provided you aren't looking for Steak or something. Very good place to escape the rat race.

Room was very clean, comfortable and furnished with beautiful antiques. I was concerned about getting lost but Jessica was very helpful with directions. The view the next AM was AMAZING (Quail, blacktail deer and TRINITY RIVER!!!). Just a short walk down from the Inn and we were on the bank of the river. If you are the type of person that doesn’t need/want a STARBUCKS or 200+ TV channels, this is the place.

This inn is located in a very ran down town but the inn itself is wonderful in so many ways. The room is very uniquely and beautifully designed. Outside there is a very large backyard and the trinity river runs just there. There are deer walking in the backyard, feeding on the wild berries. There are deck chairs by the river, so one can relax there.||It is so beautiful and calm. The host was super friendly and breakfast was great.||My only tip is that there are no restaurants in town. There is a few in the neighboring town Weaverville, which is 20 minutes drive.

Amazing place, so glad we found it, it is a charming little b&b, hosted by Jessica who is very friendly. You can bring your diner and have diner by the river, it is very finely decorated, the right balance between “travel back in time” and modern comfort. Would definitely send my friends there and come back myself 🙂 thanks Jessica!

Lewiston is a very small town, so finding this Inn should've been easy, but it wasn't. GPS couldn't do it because of unincorporated areas and Google Maps couldn't do it because there was no signal. Checking in wasn't necessary--our upstairs room was unlocked with our name on the door. At first I was a little creeped out by it as it looked kind of old and shabby. On closer look, I realized some of the pieces were antiques and the quilts were actually clean and new. The TV was actually an old tube TV but with Direct TV added on. Kind of weird, but we didn't need much TV. We brought in dinner and were able to take it down to the Trinity River and eat it riverside, on chairs the Inn provided. Dining al fresco while watching fish jump and bats fly overhead was amazing. There are a few negatives--I felt the bed wasn't too comfortable, a little soft and saggy on the sides. The shower is tiny, with a low shower head. But the biggest problem was that this was a bed and breakfast with no breakfast. Apparently it is only served on weekends. I've looked over the website again, at Trip Advisor and Expedia, and no where do I see this info. Consequently, I felt the room was a little bit higher priced since breakfast wasn't included. The owners were great and sorry for the mix up.

We really enjoyed ourselves at the Old Lewiston Inn. The place is lovely with a perfect balance of natural growth and potted plants. It was very quiet with direct access to the river at the back of the property, a perfect place for your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. The owners Jessica and Dave were extremely nice and informative about the area, pointing out the best hiking trails nearby and local wildlife.||The only complaint I could see someone having(it did not bother us) is there was no breakfast options if you go midweek. Since the Inn does not provide breakfast and there was no restaurants open in town, but there was a inn/restaurant going through renovations just a few doors down. Once it opens that issue would be solved. The room does come with a fridge and coffee pot so if breakfast is important to you, you could always stop and pick up something on the way into town.

The Old Lewiston Inn is the best place too stay in all of trinity. Dave and Jess have done so much to make this place charming, warm and comfy. Every time I come back there's something new and it's always really cool! You can tell this B&B is run for love, not profit. Can't wait to come back to this beautiful part of California!

Highly recommend if visiting Lewiston! Our room was clean and very cozy - with a very comfortable bed. Jessica is a friendly, communicative and accommodating host. The hotel is right on the river with an outdoor shared space with a fire pit and basic kitchen. Hosts were very accommodating of COVID precautions.
